I honestly don't know if they'll be coming back. Right now it's a pain, sure, but it feels like you achieved something when you get to 410.
I spoke to a few GMs about it and they all said that EME is aware of the problem and are looking into a solution. If that's the return of the dailies or lowering the amount of resources needed in terms of Archrunes we'll have to see. Something has to be done though, it's just a terrible grind.
I won't lie, it sucks, but I'm halfway through it myself, and I know there are already a bunch of others in BG who have finished and gotten it to 410. While the readdition of the quests or whatever it was in KTera that allowed ease of craft leveling will certainly help the majority of the server population in the long run, it's going to piss off a lot of others who suffered through the grind to get to 410. I honestly feel like the 410 region should remain exclusive to those who are willing to put up with the pain of attaining archrunes with the ideal that at the end of the grind they can make a large profit off it.
More 410s would just lead to more competition between crafters and less profit overall for everyone (this would, of course, make the consumers happier though, heh).
I'm not one to subscribe, to the idea, that just because something is a terrible grind, that it should remain exclusive. ATM, we're talking about an incomplete and broken system crafting system, that's currently only good for one unique, crafted armor set and weapon skin, as well as the T13 stuff. I know some people have, and will, grind it out, but you're making a choice to do that, all things considered.
If EnMass comes out and says that they want it this way, then oh well, but considering we are missing the 58 gold crafted materials, for the LoT/ET skins, as well as the missing crafted quests, leads me to believe they'll get it fixed eventually.
Well having versus not having certain patterns and templates is different from redesigning the crafting system to make it more accessible; I'm all for adding more templates and the like, but I, personally, don't want to see a decrease in the amount of dedication required to get something to 410.
Don't you still have to grind a lot of the HM dungeons to get the materials for the T13 crafted items? Or is that grind not much of a hassle? I would honestly rather grind towards the items I need for the few crafts I want to make, rather then grind through the crafting just to get to the point where I can now grind the materials for the armor/weapons I want.
It all boils down to the Archrunes though, that's the cockblock that needs to be fixed. I don't mind having to grind keyrunes because...I CAN GRIND THEM lol, but Archrunes require you to slam your dick in a door while doing NT/SA over and over and over, or level a few alts and get them to the 40s. Hell it's not even the Archrune of Titans, they drop decent enough off BAMS...it's the white Archrunes off normal mobs.
If they would just lower the required mats for that stuff I would be fine.
Does anyone have a guide to how to get through Balder's Temple maze to get to the red or green Kuma?
If I got all the way thru the archrune bullshit (currently only 340 tho ><) just to have them nerf it, I'm going to be seriously pissed. I've farmed my ass off, and dumped a not-insignificant amount of gold into it (thousandssss). The 280 crafts (that you make 3 times) require roughly 2800g PER CRAFT if you purchase the runes (roughly 550 runes at 5g-7g each).
With the knowledge that crafting quests existed at one point why would anyone bludgeon through getting to 410 at this point? Except to be one of the first people there and make that ridiculous amount of profit (as you should with the effort involved in getting there at this point)
However, getting upset that eventually crafting is going to boil down to questing dailies with minmal effort because you grinded the shit out of it now is retarded when you know they are going to make it easier later.
This is the whole hindsight is 20/20 thing. Except you actually know whats going to happen in the future.
Except we don't; nowhere has Enmasse explicitly said they plan to change the crafting system in any way, shape, or form.
If they announced tomorrow that the craft quests were going back in, I still wouldn't expect it for at least 2 months. It would be a Bluehole deal, and I'm sure they have their hands full in order to meet the projected August Queen/BG/finished game patch.
