gonna get cancelled. Would have been a pretty good movie, but in this day and age people don't get in the mood for a horror/thriller based on a network's schedule. I liked the pilot, but I haven't felt like watching any more eps since then so I'm not tuning in during new episodes.

lol so you've only seen one episode but that's good enough to judge whether it'll be canceled?

anyway i like it a lot so far. the one episode with the hanging dude wasn't creepy enough. still gotta watch tuesday's!

no, i'm not judging, the word is on tv sites that the ratings blow and it's gonna be cancelled.

It's a mini series that was a mid season replacement that was originally a movie. There was never any renewal/cancellation stipulation.

I was under the impression this was a mini series, but last nites episode ended with previews for next weeks "season finale"

By mini-series, I think NBC was experimenting with shorter seasons like AMC has done. I think the intention was that if it did well, it was going to have a second season. I'm not sure if the actors are under contract for a possible second season, or not.

I don't necessarily think that's the case, American Horror Story is doing very well. I don't think this one just was marketed very well or promoted very heavily; it also started off weak and got stronger, which is not a way to build a TV audience. I think them billing it like "Paranormal Activity" was kind of a mistake, as well, I knew several people who had little or no interest in watching it because of that.

Will this follow an american horror story type aspect you think? Different family, different "Adventure" each season?

I mean they have one episode left and it will probably just be a wrap up episode I think.

I hope it comes back tho, I was enjoying the show

Not sure. I would think the same characters, maybe in a different expedition? Or next season could be just the search for the source in the Amazon? If the Magus becomes inoperable, they're pretty much stuck in the middle of the Amazon with no way out except on foot, which could prove to be an adventure in and of itself, I suppose.

Sadly, I kind of doubt it will matter, as I don't think it's likely to get picked up for a second season.

I fucking loved it. I'd watch more but I'd also be fine with it just ending there, both would be acceptable.

I don't know that I loved it, but I certainly enjoyed it. It definitely got better as the season went on, unlike a number of shows of this genre, and I do hope it comes back next year. The scenes of him on the table last night were extremely well done and genuinely creepy. The final shot was very cool, as well, I wasn't expecting that.

I think one of the reasons I liked it so much was considering what channel/network it was on... it was pretty dark especially during the finale.

The finale was very surprising but I really liked it. I am excited to see where they take this show next however I do hope they end it at the end of the 2nd season, one of the appeals for this show to me was when I thought it was going to be a mini-series and would be wrapped up at some point. I don't want the show to continue until the writers run out of ideas and the plot becomes so convoluted that the show loses all meaning.

surprisingly good season finale for me. i liked the series overall even though the creep factor died out after the first 3 episodes.

will definitely watch if it returns for a second season.

the punching out of the guys throat was epic. I remember first time I punched a throat out, was invigorating
