And bad stigma aren't going to go away with dubbing...if anything, the terrible dubbing is one of the main reason why people have issue with animes. If the society in general was more open to subbing, that kind of shit wouldn't happen in the first place. Do you see people bitch about subbing at film festival around the world? No, and I'm fairly certain they are far more open than most people.

I was told Canada was a place where people who aren't American enough to be American and French lives.

They do all kind of un-American thing all the time, like using the metric system and giving their citizens free health care.
