BG TERA Server Discussion: WUTS IN A JAGGED COAST? RAPE. THAT'S WHAT.

Been playing on PvE servers but I'll give jagged coast a shot :O I'm not sure exactly what I'll end up doing char race/class wise, but I'll probably be Clave.

edit: I'd probably mess around with a mage and lancer.

have you dealt with any ganking yet? i've played 4 MMO's my entire life and none of them revolve around any PVP server lol. so i will be completely new to it

Never played any MMO besides 11 so coming to PvP kind of surprising. Seems theres always a pack of 3-4 people waiting to gank me at every new area. I hate when you pop a quest mob/NM and get bumrushed by a group. I don't even see the point of it to be honest. I don't have much time to play lately so no grouping for me, and getting ganked constantly sucks. Mounts and teleport scrolls make it not too bad but still annoying losing 5 minutes walking back to quest area. I might end up going to PvE if I play release.

When you die, you get teleported to the nearest "big" town, theirs a teleport NPC there, for about 500gold, you can get teleported to a camp/quest hub near to where you were. Theirs potions dropped by mobs for 120% stamina instantly (think I got like 10+ on my archer).

Also you can change channels to avoid gankers (out of combat). Press alt -> move mouse near channel select -> see ganker press alt, and your mouse will be hovering over the channel select where you left it to quickly select.

I've only been ganked a total of about 6 times probably lvl a warrior 1-> 27 and a archer from 1-> 21 this beta period.

Won't see as much ganking in tera retail/open beta considering people be aiming for lv 60

I think in order to avoid ganking during open beta and forward is to keep at the front of the leveling pack. I imagine after people start hitting cap there'll be plenty of people ganking low levels while they wait for friends to hit cap.

Just letting you guys know. WB was initially meant to be a PVE guild with the initial assumption of GVGs and BGs being implemented into them. As of earlier today, it was announced consensual GVG will be implemented into PVE server, so it's something to think about.

I know we're giving it some thought.

they are implementing the pvp protection (points for killing players) so the pvp server will be even safer now (no one complained about getting ultra-ganked last time) and the one GvG war we did get into saw us facerolling our opponents without issue at all.

Would like to know if you guys are still rolling JC. The more competition, the better though. We'd like to see more guilds on VoT that are looking for some solid PVP. Small, and large guilds alike.

Looks like it'll be interesting on VoT, although I'm not one those people that like to grind PVP all day long.. once in awhile I do need my reabk from the stress, and go on a blood thirsty rampage chasing people I see all over the world till them and anyone that helps them are dead.. repeatedly >.>

We're running the poll right now to see which server the general majority wants; we'll need more time before we have an answer.

There's also a healer NPC (Green Icon) that will restore all of your stamina, for a small fee. Better to save those Stamina potions for end game.
