Comparing it to making a baby stop crying seems rather.. irrelevant no? Theres a difference between something with the cognitive abilities of a Dog, and a 15 year old Girl. Maturity just doesn't "happen". A spoiled brat growing up will be a Spoiled Brat into 20's, 30's, and beyond, if their parents just "let them be".

On a serious note, 15 year old girls will be emo and crazy all the way until they are 20+. While it can't be helped, doing something this memorable is a great life lesson for your daughter. Taking away all her privacy also works great.

No, it doesn't seem irrelevant. How many 25 year olds do you see talk about their parents like that? Almost none. And how many 15 years do? Almost all of them.

Yes it does. Sorry, but it really does just happen all on it's own. That doesn't mean you can't push it a long, but by far, the biggest factor to maturity is age.

The problem is that she's 15. You can't solve that problem. You might be able to improve it a bit, but ultimately, you cannot solve it.
