The way Nyzul is right now doesn't prevent any console player from getting all sets 5/5. You would have to be seriously drunk/retarded to believe otherwise.
As for the part about GMs and Tanaka, you would have to be just as drunk/retarded to come out with this.
You cheat, you get analy raped as long as a GM with a brain is on your ass, which is like winning bonanza, not often.
Console players would pretty much need to not get an order floor at all to even stand a chance.
Yeah Slycer's group is doing splendid - in fact I think he gave up because he was hitting 80 1/3 runs.
I know the GM can teleport to any location they please. Once again, since you missed it, I was talking to the GM while they were fleehacking around, I actually told the GM something along the lines of "they are fleehacking right now, you can watch it, unless you can justify a whm mule running at flee speed for over 60 seconds"
I didn't miss it, you simply continue to ignore the fact that their response time is not immediate. When you get pulled over for a ticket, how long does the officer spend sitting in his car running shit on his computer after he's spoken with you? GMs have to do that kind of thing too, before they go out and monitor the situation.
I think when you try to find a way to 3PT every event just to complete it, you should consider quitting the game. Its clearly not your forte anymore, Time sinks and artificial walls i mean.
Have fun out there, and remember, whats the point it getting the next piece of armor if you're not having fun with it? If you use 3PT, or if you don't, At least try to enjoy the time you have playing the game, because at the end of the day, the only thing FFXI will ever be good for is looking back on and remembering how much fun you had with it.
Has anyone won without any form of TOA violation? That includes extended macros, DATs, Fillmode, or otherwise.
I don't remember defending the legitimacy of my actions. I, along with five other people, cheated to get armor now. We did it knowing it was cheating, and not because we felt the system was unfair. That doesn't change the fact that this content is virtually pointless without cheating. As it's been said several times over, same-time lamp floors have the potential for serious setbacks, and ordered-activation lamp floors are essentially an instant loss. This is assuming that luck was already on your side with regard to jumps, and that you already have an extremely good group of players.
I don't like resorting to calling people out, but something tells me that you have some combination of 1) zero experience with this event, 2) zero successful 100 runs, and 3) a history of cheating yourself or cheating members in your party.
If my generalized statement hit close to home, It may have been unintentional, and i apologize.
I Know the content sucks, and is a huge timesink without 3PT, but thats how its designed, Which is why i said if you have to cheat to win at an event, If you have to considering breaking the ToS To do content, You may want to consider re-evaluating why you still play FFXI if the content is so monotonous and unfulfilling to you that the only way you'll actually do it is with the Game-Shark on.
Because if you do this for too long, You may get banned, and your memories might just be "I got banned cause the game was unreasonably cockblocking", Instead of what it should be, Fond memories of your 8~10 Years of Adventuring with friends. What i was getting at is, play the game how you enjoy it, But don't let it leave a bad taste in your mouth when you finally quit FFXI, Otherwise the last years of your life in this game meant nothing but a bad memory behind you... Don't leave FFXI jaded!
While I generally avoid commenting on any of this business, I find the mass cheating problematic because it does make it less likely we will see any reasonable balancing for those who want to do the event but don't feel like cheating when they do it. If you need to cheat in a game to get what you want out of it, I think you're playing the wrong game. That being said, if I'm aware someone is cheating I generally report them for it even if I think there is very little likelihood anything will be done about it. Reporting in itself makes an interesting game where they do what they feel they can get away with and I get enjoyment out of them potentially getting hit with a ban-stick.
Hence us cheating and acquiring a full 15/15 set at the cost of a 3 day suspension, well worth it imo. Any group with lamp dats/fillmode can still have a good win ratio if you don't suck though, and I think it's silly to not use these tools considering that they have such a low/nonexistent risk of being suspended for.
Yes, yes. New Nyzul should floor 100 should be a "super rare" event. No kidding that hasn't been mentioned several times. However this does not mean that it would avoid all adjustment, unless of course you speak for the devs in regards to hypotheticals.
Also no Dots, I'd still report people for it I'd probably just give less of a shit. ;p
Just so we're clear, you realize the rarity involved in completely legitimate Neo-Nyzul successes absolutely eclipses that of the rarest Voidwatch drops, correct? For the best groups you can find, no less? The odds of not running into something that's a run-ender for a completely legitimate group is beyond minuscule. You could literally go a year without a single success, and aiming for 100 at all makes getting 25 Fl80 clears, which is already pretty ridiculous, nearly impossible in a reasonable time frame.
