The funny part is that the JP who are the loudest about it are the ones who are the least likely to quit no matter what. Square would still slit the throats of the NAs to sate them regardless, but it would be a meaningless gesture to appease people who will kiss their asses regardless.

If you're going to predict ban conditions, the excuses/hardcore evidence isn't indicative of how SE handles stuff. More indicative is the type of action.

Duping? Bans.
RMT? Bans.

DAT changes? Never seen a ban. Fixes? Yes. Remember that goldbox assault?

Well everyone hacks/ JPs hack also so they have to ban everyone.

To be fair, depending on where the money is coming from, the procedure for the money to get to Square-Enix may be so costly to SE that it may not be worth it for them to go out of their way to make payment easy for those handful of folks. Granted, I'm assuming there's rational thought going on at SE, which is an irrational assumption.

I don't think the box assault was .dat related, you just hovered over the box and the arrow either stayed or went away, it was just a bug.

I've never heard of the arrow trick, but people claimed to use tiamat dat changes to find the box needed.

November 26?, and bans were Jan 22. The only reason I remember is because the 22nd is my birthday. I woke up with a few texts lol'ing at the fact that I was banned and I thought it was a birthday prank. Good memories.

I think it's too impractical for them to even try banning people until they put a system in place that autoflags you, but honestly, discussion about being banned should be banned for now. It's like people arguing over Windower now. Not productive. Who really cares.

Re: Powder Boots, you should bring enough that you can full time them and use them at the start of at least every other floor. The alternative is to sub THF. Sounds dumb, but having Flee up instantly when needed is extremely useful in many situations. Sprinter's Drink is something you can use along with BB in the start room and quickly grab a second time before porting up, so you'll have one minute of flee on the first floor and another Sprinter's Drink to use later.

Honestly, the worst I can see is them suspending for use of dats, and perma bans if you sold NNI gear and made a ton off it. Even then, it would be extremely difficult to prove it (not that they need to). Personally was in a group who used lamp dats, although I did not (was completely honest to them about it and was basically rune SCH the whole run). They wern't shouting obvious shit out until we hadta replace some members, and the replacements did.
If SE start banning, will they get banned? Of course they will. Will I get banned by association? Possibly. But I can hardly see much of this being perma.
