If I read this right and it's not a mistranslation, is it actually 5 kills per item?
FUCK YES if that doesn't get increased.
you guys are reading it wrong, i might be wrong, but im fairly sure they offered 2 systems and this is the former where if u kill 5 of 1 floor u get the pick any item from THAT floor, aka u kill 5 80 bosses and u get to pick 1 from 80. that's what i'm lead to believe anyway.
also generic's group got super lucky was bound to happen sooner or later
furthermore with no addition of the stopper in the test server it feels like we won't be getting that option for a while, at least we get cheaper temp items... bs how we have to spend 1600 each run
That makes a whole lot more sense than trading up from the floor before. If a lot of people still have trouble reaching F100 I'm sure they'll integrate that in the future, but they're already making huge changes right now so that might have been a step too far. Tox, your interpretation is definitely right, it's as clear as day in the dev post.
Couldn't really be any clearer. Although this isn't really any help without the "stopper" feature. Maybe they're just integrating one thing at a time on the test server? I'm guessing the "stopper" thing would take a little more programming work and they'll probably have to figure out some cost associated with it (tokens or whatever).Originally Posted by Gildrein
Seems reasonable to me. Killing 1 100 and everyone getting 1 piece of their choice seemed extremely generous even with the difficulty involved.
5 kills per floor is awesome too. Means that even if you get dicked by drops then you'll still get your stuff reasonably fast. Like me and one other person in the static have no 80 drops so far whilst everyone else does. If that new system was in place, I'd at least have 1 item of my choice to show for it.
Sidenote but that makes 80 very merc'able too. You could definitely carry someone to 80 with Embrava as long as they weren't too stupid to port.
Depends on how they interpret section groupings, I guess. Obviously I'd prefer 5 of 80 for 1 100 and it's not like they couldn't add further incentives to 100 (Imagine a 5% Cat's Eye rate...) itself to tempt people to try.
Again this is all assuming they do put the stopper feature in. There's no mention of it in these notes and I doubt they put it on the test server today. The F100 stuff in particular is irrelevant without the stopper feature, I can't see anyone doing 5x F100 kills any time soon without it considering there's only one successful kill we're aware of across all servers in 2.5 weeks.
As far as the 25x thing goes, I wouldn't be surprised if that was something they were considering, but the problem would be that you can't have both of these systems at once. It doesn't make sense that you kill 25 F80s, get all the drops from F80, an additional 5 pieces of F80 that you choose for yourself, AND one F100 piece on top of all that. That would be kind of insane. Would make sense, though, if they made you accumulate 5 of those 5-kill KIs, and with that you could choose a piece from the next higher boss.
Admittedly I skimmed a bit of the responses on this page, but didn't they say they decided on the 25x^ system, but that their earlier idea of 5x= was going to appear on the test server temporarily? Could be imagining things.
Should be clear now ^^Originally Posted by Camate
I imagine they decided on that system, set the stage for it on the test server(I'm not a programmer- is it possible to pre-implement something before actually releasing it?), and then decided to go with the current plan, at which point they didn't feel like unscrambling the wires where it was mostly inconsequential.
I'm with you and that's likely the case, but why would the have a post that explained the system as added to the test server? They went out of their way to go into detail on this system when they could have just posted something like "ignore those changes, we're working on what we talked about yesterday." Unless they have really bad internal communication (we know they do), or the whole company is run by bots and that post was automated too.
