Sure it's not the only way but it does make a massive, massive difference and going without it is going to gimp your chances. Going from no Embrava to single Embrava improved our average number of floor clears by 4-5 per run.
And obviously if you get 2 floor ports you're not going to make it. But if you had double Embrava + Clipper you would need to average drastically lower than the average to not make 100. You could probably average as low as 4 and still make 100.
EDIT: I'm not saying that you can't reach 100 without Embrava. But imo if you have 6 people with all jobs 99, there is no set-up that involves no Embrava that is more efficient than a similar set-up with Embrava.
Are you trying to be funny? It's not working.
Yet another floor 100 clear without embrava. I can only imagine how hard we would have clicked the lamps if we had had it, though.
Congratulations on your win with less margin for error? What do you want me to say? Nobody said it was impossible or particularly difficult.
I'm mocking the fact that your statement was such a blatant over exaggeration.
He didn't exaggerate anything. Inferior method is inferior. Inferior methods have greater risk than superior methods (By definition). What is being exaggerated?
So out of the following, what should I have everyone go?
1: SCH, ArmaCOR, BLM, SMN, BLU
2: Twash THF, Gandiva RNG, WAR, RDM
3: BLM, PLD
4: UkonWAR, RNG, THF, Misc. other jobs
5: WHM, KanNIN, BRD
6: MNK, DRG
What should I have everyone go? Everyone will be using clipper, if it'd change anything.
Thinking SCH, BLM, WAR, NIN, MNK, THForRNG.
6 scholars with 6 embrava's.
I would tell your blm to become useful and level sch
Yeah, that BLM PLD person is going to be a leech pretty much.
That said, two questions:
Simple, super simple, super simple ileveledthisonlyfornyzulandhaveshitforgear SCH spellcast? Can anyone assist with that?
Also, how do you play SCH, lol.

Grab Yugl-include.xml (And name it Yugl-include.xml) and the SCH XML. This XML is one of the first XMLs I ever made, so it's very basic.
I haven't read all of this thread, so I apologize if the answer is burried within here, but I was pondering the possibilities of changing the animations/appearance of lamps. Takes kind of a long time for lamps to 'turn off'. Perhaps that information arrives earlier than anticipated, and could be sped up by changing the color of said animations. For instance, the slowly fade to nothing animation could be changed to a red color, while the 'stay on indefinitely' animation could be changed to a blue hue. I'm assuming things about how these lamps animate so what I'm thinking might not be true and this entire post the equivalent of a child walking into a movie that's halfway through.
No one has considered that because people doing DAT changes for lamps often take the more direct route of just renaming the lamp numbers.
Oh, right. So you wouldn't even really have to truly figure out what order to do them in, just follow the numbers.
Anything else is going to severely hold up your run, to be perfectly honest.
