From the looks of things though, it looks like some NM's gain the ability to spawn at X floor (I'd speculate 50) and can then spawn at any point after that. Whereas other NM's have a set range they can spawn in (0-20, 20-40, etc although numbers may vary). Best example I can think of is Byakko. We have had him spawn as low as FL54 and as high as FL106. And the FL106 is more striking as the other NM's at 100+ reverted back to what you get at the beginning of runs (I.e. Ghille Dhu, Chocoboleech, etc) rather than the ones you only see on high levels like Ash Dragon and Aynu-Kaysey.

I reckon the free-spawnable mobs after X floor are Suzaku, Genbu, Seiryu, Byakko, Fafnir, Behemoth, Adamantoise, Hydra, Khimaira and Cerberus. I have seen all of those, or at the very least one from how you would expect those mobs to group, at both a middle-ish floor (like 50-70) and a high floor (80-100+).

Unfortunately I only record NM's if we have to kill them or they cause us a nuisance so this data is incomplete. There's also a few missing off here as I distinctly remember killing a Suzaku and also coming across a Hydra sat on top of a Lamp but I don't see to have them wrote down. So if there's memorable NM's like that missing, then there must be unmemorable ones missing too.

I think there's still the standard 1-19, 21-39, 41-59, etc split for NM's. Then Sky Gods, GK's and ToAU HNM's are separate from that and can pop anywhere from FL50 upwards. We've certainly come across all those NM's (apart from Genbu iirc) and they have been on various floors but I just don't have the exact floor wrote down. Like I know on our last 2 runs there was both a Cerberus and a Behemoth but they didn't disturb us in any way so I don't have them wrote down.

Same applies to other NM's. For example, we've definitely seen King Arthro + Killer Jonny + Bune + Mahishasura but because we didn't touch them, I don't have them down. All of those were 80+, I just don't have the exact number.

Thanks, that helped a lot. The NMs are grouped into 20-floor chunks based on their order in the .dats, which is the order I have them listed in on this page.

I need confirmation of Woodland Sage and Narasimha, but otherwise we have confirmation of the last and the first in each group. 20/20/20/18/18 different NMs the way I have it laid out right now.

Since Fafnir is a random NM possibility, is it possible that Ridill could come from ??? item it drops?

I don't think I've ever heard of anyone getting anything remotely good from any of the new appraisal items. Would love to be proven wrong on that, though.

We've had of the NM drops, think it was Gluttony Sword, but not seen anything from the newly introduced ones.

Nah it wasn't Gluttony Sword. It was Frenzy Sallet which Niloc then managed to immediately get 500k for on the AH after everyone went lolsallet and let it freefall to him.

Frog Cheer appears to give the frogs about +50% magic damage (approximately +75 MAB). Aroro Samroro's special feature seems to be Ancient Magic, which is the only thing he has tried to cast in the times we've fought him. He hasn't gotten it off yet.

Plus we all have WAR so would be better with Berserker's if we can justify the slot.
