I would suspect that either someone GM'd you before you entered (the usual way of getting someone banned for flee hacking), or that they have began random screening because it's seemingly become so rampant. Obligatory pics etc.

about time they ban all the clipper user...
Also fuck japan, the JP dude who was in our group running at like 800% was released without a warning even.
any of you get in any actual trouble or just "dont do that again?"
I'm under review for termination, previous suspension for stupid things. Others got a you will be banned if you are caught with any future offenses warning, was first time offenses for them. Of course the JP who was using extreme amounts of clipper gets off without even a warning on his account.
Is this a game changer for people, or is the risk still worth the reward?
I have won many times without any clipper, and using powder boots can really help on some floors. I don't think clipper is worth the risk at all for this, you can still win legit and cap out on gear slightly slower.
shitty.. gl with not getting banned, leave it to SE to trap players with their shitty events
About time.
Tho once again I have no idea why ppl use clipper at all for events. It takes away whole fun of improving your skill for better performance.
running between mobs = skill you heard it here fir... six thousand times.
I think he just worded it badly. Clipper won't make you more or less skillful. It will however give groups who aren't as skillful more room for error. And make clearing 100 trivially easy for the more skilled groups.
Clipper makes Nyzul less challenging by effectively giving you more time to do the actual meaty part of Nyzul. In exactly the same way that fillmode and DAT swapped lamps make Nyzul less challenging too.
It's almost like select your difficulty level by picking how many shortcuts you want to take.
I would assume that not only the JP was using more than 150% speed constantly? Since I doubt 112% or even 125% a GM would call "abnormal speed", as you can easily explain that with regular gear in most cases.
Edit: Or that someone in your group you said was being watched anyway, and they just noticed everyone else is doing it too. Who knows etc.
I don't understand how checking a code lamp proves that you were flee hacking.
When you go at unnatural speeds (above flee speed) the server cannot track your movement (hence not being able to zone), you said the JP was running at 800% so he probably got auto-jailed and then a GM probably checked in and saw the rest of you fleeing around.
Either that or someone GM'd you before you entered, someone that really hated you or someone else in the party and had them monitor your group until the point they decided to zone you out.
That feels a bit like saying "Leave it to those damn Police Officers to enforce the law". I mean, They're only enforcing whats been marked as "illegal" by their ToS, and its been shown people can hit floor 100 Without Clipper. So its at best a convenience that provides more room for error, and not a necessity. Shouldn't be a problem switching off it, and there's no excuse to use it other than convenience at this point.
Or if you happen to be JP and can do anything at all and get off the hook.
Anyway. Regardless of how dumb one may feel the law (or ToS) is, Its still there. Clipper is Breaking the ToS. I'm not going to preach how you shouldn't use it, Cause to each their own, its their character and they should decide how much risk they want to take, so by all means use it and continue to use it if you feel you want too. But its the getting pissed at SE for actually enforcing it part. it is a bit ... Odd to do? They're only doing what they should be doing. Enforcing the ToS.
It just feels like a waste of their resources considering how little it impacts other players. So there's a little more Alexandrite on the market and people get good gear a little faster. Who cares?
GMs haven't done anything useful by their job description for well over a year, it just seems obscure that they would actually start monitoring a zone.
why do people still post this same thing over and over again, everybody knows clipper is cheating
I dont give a shit if you do cheat and I dont give a shit if you dont when it has no bearing on my ability to enjoy a video game and I'm fairly certain most people agree with that so just shaaaaaaadddddappppp
I don't have a problem with clipper; I just have a problem with the illusion that it creates. I'm no saint myself, but I don't like the idea of Nyzul being deemed reliably beatable because of clipper.
the only illusion it creates is the one you give it, dont be mad other people get gear
or do
Clipper isn't the third party alteration that's necessary to "reliably" beat Nyzul, so I don't see what the big deal is.
