Am I the only one thinking it could simply be that someone was outside of Nyzul and GM'd them after seeing them move before they remembered to turn off flee hax?

Just realized, wtf 800%. Even ignoring how utterly stupid it is to be running at such a high speed, how the fuck did they maintain control of their character

If this is the case, I'd actually be concerned for us groups that don't use clipper. If we're going to be investigated purely by winning floor 100, people that don't use clipper might get jailed for using legitimate means of enhancing movement. Most people wouldn't consider 160% speed to be normal, but I know I do it all the time in WoE with gear+11roll+garuda buff(replace garuda with mazurka if you'd like).

Of course, with only two groups speaking up so far, I don't think we can make any assumptions as to how they're monitoring it, or if they even are.

The only time I ever actually cranked it up to max I was in Batallia Downs. Didn't seem so bad there but i imagine it would be retarded in a cramped area like nyzul unless you could also run through walls.

Yeah obviously it's stupid, it was just the jp guy in our group who is pretty much a general retard(he was paying us 10mil per 100, so whatever). I'm just shocked that the guy who was cheating the most didn't even manage to get a warning on his account, I don't even care if I get banned at this point.

I tried using 'Hyper Speed' on ffxispeeder a long time ago, I'm not sure exactly what speed that is but it was ridiculous. There's no way you can control your character at those speeds, especially in nyzul unless he was using maintenance mode and running through everything

The video for the latest clipper suggested that maintenance holds your position until you undo the maintenance. That means you would be setting yourself up for a huge POS hack.

There are two different maintenance buttons, one that updates position and one that doesn't.

I believe setting your flag to maintenance updates you position while setting your status to maintenance does not. I could have it backwards though.

Did they actually say you were banned for movement speedness? Even if they did I wouldn't put it past them to lie. I wouldn't be suprised if they know you need some if not several tools to get to 100 and are just looking at anyone who manages to beat it and then determine how they did it

They specifically said to everyone that it was for using tools to move beyond normal speeds, even those of us who used no clipper.

What if you're someone capped on (or has all they want) gear and is just helping?

Then you benefited from that dirty Alexandrite or earth crystal and need to be cleansed from the FFXI system.

And the 10m per piece the guy was paying you?

@ Cream Soda - good point, whether you define benefit as obtaining a piece of gear, earning exp, or simply being successful at an event (clearing 100 and earning tokens) I still view it as guilty by association assuming the person had knowledge 3rd party tools were being used. Don't get me wrong, it fucking sucks and I feel for Darkmagi, but I assume he had an inkling that if those in his pt got busted for clipping he would face a consequence as well. With this knowledge, I definitely do not think I would go on a nyzul run where I knew some of the party members were using clipper.

Never sell anything to a person that does fishing. That money from dirty waters. Seems a bit fishy to me!

Yeah, I realize that there was a high risk factor in this and have no regrets. I would just advise against using clipper in nyzul regardless though, a competent group with .dat swaps and fillmode can still get a high 100 win rate.
