It is, I'm not sure what exactly is being discussed at this point.
Getting stopped at the zone is old/used to activate auto jailer.

Ok, it's about time I fixed this title.
Jem you have the best fucking sig ever in all creation. Reminds me of back in the day when DRKs were thought to be lol cuz of their percieved low accuracy. Would be hilarious if SE put that in there as flavor text whenever you miss, only for Relic Scythe.
I like how you find the people that complain the hardest about the difficulty of content are usually the ones that head straight for apps/edits when they can't steam roll though it. I know Neo Nyzul is horribly designed but the point still stands.
Should also probably keep in mind that many of the GMs that work ingame also moderate the forums, since the app usage was being discussed there it makes sense they would go check. Not like Neo Nyzul is mass interest, so you have a pretty good chance to catch people if they are getting good results.
I won't speak for anything else, but average success rate without dat edits would be absolutely abysmal with even the best players. One ordered lamp floor would almost guarantee you a loss.
I miss Animated Weapon's smack talk. Was the best part of Dynamis![]()
I don't think what he says and the miss are linked as it was a zerg so chances of it being next to each other in the log are incredibly slim. I think it's just pure comedic coincidence.
In fairness, Nyzul is literally impossible to clear 100 without any apps/third party tools unless you are obscenely lucky. Like winning the lottery levels of luck. You need way above average ports and really kind floors to give you 15+ clears to even have a remote shot at 100 with vanilla XI. I'd say AV at 75 was more defeatable than Nyzul is clearable without any apps/tools whatsoever.
Fillmode/DAT edits just make 100 a possibility at a semi-decent/tolerable rate. ~25-30% for us personally which I think is a more than acceptable level of difficulty considering how good Nyzul gear is. If anything it's a too high success ratio imo as it means you're capping on drops after a 1.5 months at which point there's zero reason to Nyzul anymore.
Clipper improves those odds but with the risk of the banhammer. Whether you take that risk is obviously down to the individual.
Realistically if you could reach 100 with a top group ~10% of the time without cheating whatsoever I think that would be fair. The problem is that it would make it too easy for groups who do use varying degrees of tools and so a ton of people would be walking around 15/15 in 2 weeks as the majority would still cheat even if 100 was achievable without cheating at all. So SE makes it far too hard for people to clear without cheating for timesink purposes, they probably didn't think people would get 100's so easy even with cheats imho.
It's not fair on people who are 100% legit but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if SE based content difficulty on being challenging for people who do cheat, whether they realise those people cheat or not is another matter.

Simply amazing
Would be interesting to see if they are banning for going through walls too. That would confirm if they are actually observing stuff.
Back in the day of camping HNM's running retardedly fast to get to things seemed logical. Some people would run at 175% movement speed and get the unable to zone message. This was BEFORE "auto jailed" and alot of other things came into play. This was WHEN MPKING was still possible. What I did was run at a retarded speed, get to the zone line or about to zone, BOOT MYSELF back to the "play" button and upon relogging in i could zone without issue. There was only ONE instance where it failed because i logged back in too quickly. Theres about a 45-65~ sec delay required to zone after moving at absurd speeds. Back then when you were disconnected your records and velocity was reset upon logout / login. This may or may not be valid now.
Back when I was on Phoenix I ran at pretty much hyperspeed everywhere I went. Got the unable to zone message so many times clippering up to zone in the backdoor of DA. I would stand on the open holes near the top of where Fafnir spawns and drop down as he would pop lol. Only got temped once and that was for running at 25%~ camping NMs for trails with some JPs.
I seriously doubt that they base content difficulty around various cheating mechanisms, I honestly think that they have no concept of how difficult anything they put into the game is. They probably test to make sure that the mechanisms are working then release shit to the public; if they get a Pandemonium Warden-style PR backlash, then they will consider fixing shit ASAP, otherwise they will wait for the forums to explode and catch fire then dial shit back in 6 to 12 months.
In all likelihood they are completely shocked that people would cheat to try to go around their grand, golden balance.
Wellllllllllllll..... look at the situational gear they add that the macro system can't possibly accommodate. They're either planning almost all of it to be useless or they expect people to "cheat" and use something to swap gear for them.

I've always felt they made content designed for cheating, HNM's were the grandest example of all.
Back in the day, only JP's had packet bots and they had superior latency, NA shells never ever ever claimed against them.
In any instance where a JP player was clearly cheating and caught, I've never heard of them having action taken against them.
Again, back in the day, you would get griefed at all times of the day just to keep the Kings in JP time windows. GM wouldn't do anything, unless of course, you were up at 5AM doing the same thing.
Salvage bans, Nyzul bans (thus far), etc. I know plenty of JP players running around in 15/15 Nyzul gear. Are you going to tell me they did it legit? Most of them got it after the stopper was implemented. Ever try to claim T2's in Ule against a JP party? Clearly using ApRadar or AllSeeingEye+Clipper+JA0Wait. All of those are noticeable tools when camping something like that, lol.
I gives no fucks, but I also don't believe for a second content isn't designed with cheating in mind and a special balance going towards one group of players.
Even Legion is a hell of a lot easier when you kite shit at 25% instead of 0~12%.
Follow up on that JP in nyzul, he was apparently pulled into jail 3 days later for the same nyzul incident and received a 4 day suspension. lol
Just to run it back, you can pretty much 800% speed in any zone if you wanted to, you won't get caught. GMs either don't have the man power anymore to read logs and catch people going at high-ultra high speeds, or rely on players to report cheaters/spot checks to ban/jail people. However, if you POS hack through large objects like mountains, long walls, buildings, outer zone (that has no information), you will be jailed by the auto jailer for sure. I tested this a long time ago in East Saru, being the only person in the zone for an hour plus. Ran about for 800% speed the entire time-- didn't get jailed until I sped through a wall at stupidly a high speed.
And yes, you won't be able to zone if you super speed in one direction from a start point-- each zone has a specific zoning timer that won't allow for cross area zoning until the timer is up. If you get the "you cannot zone" message, you literally have to log out or warp/teleport out of the area to zone.
