I found this to be pretty ironic. I am part of Jimbob's whole group that was temp banned three days ago for being naughty in nyzul. Our group came back today after our temps, and hit 100 on our second run--without any use of clipper. I feel slightly less dirty.

    Spoiler: show

There's really nothing surprising(or ironic) about that. Clipper is helpful, but it's a minimal benefit at best. Good players, fillmode, dat edits, and JA0wait are all that's required to win with any regularity.

However, if you POS hack through large objects like mountains, long walls, buildings, outer zone (that has no information), you will be jailed by the auto jailer for sure. I tested this a long time ago in East Saru, being the only person in the zone for an hour plus. Ran about for 800% speed the entire time-- didn't get jailed until I sped through a wall at stupidly a high speed.
I've been walking through walls/floors/ceilings/mountains/large geometry-less sections of zones, etc for years, and I've never been jailed, or heard a peep from a GM about it. I've never PoSed thou, and I always keep my speed 200% or lower.

EDIT: I've even walked between sections of zones that aren't even connected, IE: mire from one side of nashmau to the other, sky, etc.

Just got temp banned along with one other person. Last person may or may not have been perma banned, the GM didn't say anything.

minimal benefit?! wow ur talking about a huge boost to clearing % and thats minimal?

winning with fillmode/dats is still luck based. We just got to F44 with 12 jumps in 20 min. tell me how the fuck i can get to 100F in next 6-7 jumps......

using clipper clearly defy all luck-based odds and makes u win ALOT MORE regularly

if ur using clipper and still not banned, stop defending urself because clearly its a cheat now since GM finally start to work

I was in that group, was not using clipper, and did not get jailed or suspended, so at least they're differentiating.

I will say that clipper is FAR from a minor benefit, a good group should have an extremely low chance of losing a 100 with full clipper. Either way, it won't take you much longer to cap out on gear "legit".

How fast did you go through the larger objects? It seems the auto jailer only works when you bypass those sections or outer zone at an abnormally high pace of speed. That and clicking POS buttong excessively fast.

With that said, clipper really is only a minor help to winning. I wouldn't recommend taking the risk at any speed.

If you aren't using any movement speed, Ja0Wait is still really helpful, probably more than most people think. Being locked for 2-3s because of a long WS animation doesn't sound like a lot, but it adds up since it happens every time your WS kills a mob. You -really- don't need to use any movement speed from Clipper, it's just a risk to take right now and people who haven't used it in the past get tempted to boost the speed even higher, effectively making your use more obvious. If you really can't get clear 17-18 floors without the movement of Clipper, you should consider shooting for floor 80 instead of 100 and live with it, or play the luck game and hope for good jumps.

While I wont say clipper has minor benefits (unless you just using it to ignore grav/bind and stay 125) I'd imagine a group just using clipper would do worse then a group not using it but using fillmode/dats (and I suppose ja0wait if you haven't learned how to blink stuff or your spellcast doesn't do it by itself anyways). Which is what I find ironic as it's the fleeing around that is dropping the hammer

Even just the tiny benefit of being able to JA or WS without getting stuck is helpful, because you can use that time to move to your next target, switch to it from the 'dead' one, and get the delay reset as if you'd auto-targeted that mob. Do so through fillmode'ed walls and you never have to stop to draw your weapon.

Just an aggressive spellcast idle gear swap on disengage is enough to blink out of the sheathing animation though, which isn't blocked by clipper, so I'd consider that minimum.

Yes, I have far too much interest invested in how to keep from being rooted down by JA, WS, and weapon draws. It really pays off though when you can be five steps ahead of people who aren't.

Setting it to 80 means you need 25 clears for one 100 drop
if 16 floor clears = 11% 100 floor rate, even if you only managed like 14 jumps a run you should still get a 100 floor in less time then 25 80s .....

Like I said, only 200%, and I never PoS (beyond moving a couple feet at a time vertically). Considering how much time I've spent going through sections of zones that are otherwise intraversable, I really doubt SE has implemented anything to flag you in regards to where you should/shouldn't be. And again I don't just go through objects like mountains, I go straight through large sections of maps that don't even have geometry, as in walking straight from one sky island to another without using the teleporters, talking straight from the tavnazia porter in sea to temenos, etc.

If you're getting jailed for making large PoS jumps/fleehacking around at 800%, that's probably the reason alone, unless someone GMed you.

No one GM'd me. I made a note to say I was the sole person in the zone for well over an hour when I played around with clipper at 800%. Also you mentioned "walking" through-- I mean full on speeding through at 800% & spamming POS. It definitely auto jailed me.

Something to possibly note, when talking to the dude running the private server, the game saves your character data every 30 seconds (probably the same time mobs repop) unless you zone, then it saves then, too. Since your XYZ coordinates will be included in that, it's possible illogical differences in distance between saves without utilizing teleports or other valid transportation methods can set flags, with being in impossible locations (other sides of impassible walls) a definite indicator. Basically going above flee speed on foot is pretty dumb, and even that can be sketchy for long durations.

Gone 3/3 on runs tonight which is great.

Just posting to say we've started trying something that seems proper obvious now but we never did before and it seems to help a lot (least for us it does anyway). In starting lobby grab your meds as usual, then use your Body Boost and grab another. Having the extra HP buffer for the full run is worth the 10-15 secs you lose imo.

That's an interesting idea. Would picking the option to grab all your favourite temps restock your body boost or would it refuse to restock it since you still have the other temps in your inventory?

When it brings up your list again, everything you already have doesn't even show up, so body boost will be the only option, so you can just click get all once again. My group uses this as well.

Went 2/4 on 100 last night

Grab all works still and just gets another Body Boost. That's how I do it as it's less button presses.
