Only thing I've noticed as far as bugs are well.. hmm. A redcoat couldn't figure out how to get around a tree, so i shot him and kept it movin. Also, every now and then when i kill a guy with the musket, the gun will stand up straight instead of falling on the ground. Other than that, pretty smooth for me. Xbawx btw.

Glitch I've got at the moment has 3 heralds spawn right next to each other, speaking like creepy triplets.

    Assassin's Creed III

Hopefully they will release another patch like they did for the first day patch. I've definitely run into glitches. Like the entire screen going white like the camera was stuck in a building or a glitch where I did an air assassination on two guys but they didn't register as dead. The game acted like I had two enemies after me even though they were dead on the ground.

Is it just me or is fighting retardedly hard all of a sudden? It seems like even if you block an attack, they can re-recounter you and attack you back, taking some HP off. No medicine, so you're just flat out fucked in some instances. And APPARENTLY you can't kill someone with the hidden blade anymore in 1 hit unless you're running up to them. What happened to the silence stabbing? Every time I try it, he just slashes the target and initiates a battle.

Also, I couldn't give a rat's ass about Connor. Even though they had such a slow build to it in the beginning, his adult life storyline is really random and seems to just concentrate on main events and battles in the war rather than put any substantial story for him. That, and I'm already on Sequence 8 and I feel like I haven't put that much time into the game yet... they claimed it was longer, but to me it seems like it's going to end up being shorter than ACB.

You have to do more than just counter-kill some enemies. Sometimes you have to counter disarm, or just break defense. Counter is not the end-all-be-all in this one. I also have no problem doing walk-up assassinations. So I dunno what you're talking about with that.

This game is so fucking buggy and the entire game is scripted. If you deviate from what the devs intended ever so slightly; you're going to have a bad time.

How this game gets a 10 from anyone is beyond me.

And what a sluggish beginning so far.

Either I'm a completely uncreative fuck or you're wrong about everything being scripted. The second I got into the Frontier I ran around and captured a fort and just ran around for about 2 hours grabbing stuff. The only things that are obviously scripted are the assassination scenes... which always were. No matter how you killed the guy, you always got a cutscene with Altair/Ezio standing over him. Sure, there aren't a bajillion paths into every assassination, but I've never found more than a few paths to any given objective in any AC game.

I do agree that the game starts off really, really sluggishly and doesn't do a fantastic job of explaining everything in a satisfactory way once you've unlocked everything.

By scripted I mean, you will be desynchronized constantly for some really really stupid shit. That eavesdropping Washington level. Omg, where was the QA on that mission.

The game also doesn't bother explaining or showing what should be done. It forces you to desynchronize over and over until you take the devs intended route.

Also, the lack of a crouch/stealth button eludes me. Why can't I control when I am crouching in grass and when I am not. The game assumes that if it forces my characters to stand when detected while in grass ill be forced to move. That's kind of silly.

Also, optional objections are such a big pain in the ass and often it's the case that they are hard and/or finicky. I think that's the case because they were forced in late and not polished. They really ruin the flow of the game IMO.

    But story keeping me going.

My only really major problem I had is running onto stuff and jumping from climbing, it seems so much different and much more annoying, I don't seeming to be grab what I'm aiming for, this was never a problem for me in the last games and I was playing Brotherhood and Rev last week to get psyched for this game, so it's not like I was out of practice.

I don't have any issue hitting what I'm aiming for when climbing/jumping and such... Major issue I've had is the game deciding I wanted to stop on top of tree stumps or that Connor's a retard and can't climb a foot high rock.

I don't know why eagle vision is its own mode. The game does a pretty good job of showing you exactly where your target is. Get rid of standalone eagle vision, add crouching, make Connor want to stick to less things. Or make it so I have to tap a button to grab onto something (if I want to run over a stump, rock, or crate, I don't want to have to hop onto it, stutter for a second, then hop down off of it.). Really fucks with the flow when Connor turns into a five year old playing the-floor-is-lava.

My only issue is that the game is too easy, and that everything is bound to the same button. I liked the old control scheme, tey should have stuck to it.

Up to chapter 8 so far, haven't died once except for climbing up in trees and jumping because I assumed they would have put a haystack under every outlook like in previous games, and fully synchronized every mission and side-mission.

I don't like the new health system, makes the game much too easy when you fully heal within a second after a fight.

And to whoever said battles are too hard; counter fodder mobs and sword-wielding guys. Break defense and go to town on knife/heavy-wielding guys. That's my general rule so far. There's a few exceptions, like the brown pike-wielding guys with a back pack, who you also have to break defense on. Basically, every enemy is weak to something. Just learn their weakness. Whenever I take a fort, I just run straight in and kill everything, then blow up the powder room and raise the flag. Takes only a few minutes to do. Nowadays I don't even use a weapon, I just go at it barehanded.

Also; most mobs are better to throw or break defense than to counter in big fights, as so many guys other than fodder are immune to counters.

Picked it up yesterday, have a few gripes, but trying to enjoy the game since I loved the previous ones. The aforementioned graphical issues are one. Everything involving my HUD was defaulted to off, which made for a few interesting minutes when I'd just go, there isn't a fucking green marker you stupid fuck, stop telling me to follow it. And Connor's childhood. I know, I know, previous games had a few sentences or words in whatever language they were supposed to be speaking. But come on, entire chapters? It didn't even switch sub titles on for the translations, I had to go flip them on myself.

Game is clumsy. It's nice that they wanted to make everything more expansive, but detection and being cockblocked by environmental obstacles feel absolutely arbitrary. It is especially frustrating during the chase scenes, fuck.

The mere idea of having to run anywhere (let alone within a time limit or while in a certain range) is infuriating in this game. I love the expansive environment, but I would like for the game to not give me two, three, four, five completely different outcomes from the same god damned scenario/positioning.

Did get a chuckle out of one of the random conversations you can have with Shaun debating the British taxing policy. 'They were just wanting everybody to pay their fair share!' 'How you do decide what's somebody fair share?' 'A war obviously.' THEY CAN SEE INTO THE FUTURE.
