Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

I didn't pre-order the game, so if anyone could give me insight on my question I would appreciate it.

The question is, if I didn't pre-order the game, is it worth going to a large retail store shortly after 12 tonight in an attempt to buy a copy on the spot, or will most stores be running out of copies after all the people in line atm/pre-orders get taken care of? I know it's partially dependant on the stores/city, but I live in a city of over 1million, so plenty of people will be buying it tonight I imagine. I just don't want to go out in the cold at midnight for nothing, and I don't have much experience on midnight launches of popular games.

Thanks in advance, I appreciate it. I will be playing on the brobox when i do get it, whether that be tonight or tomorrow.

Getting on both systems too. Waiting in line right now for xbox copy. Ps3 copy from newegg for $48 shipped out today.

Has any store every run out of copies of a COD the day after? I really do not know, but I have to think that is extremely unlikely. You chances of findign this clogging up shelves everywhere are good. If you only had one or two stores in your area, then maybe? But if you have a few outlets in the area (Walmart, Target, TRU, Gamestop, Fred Meyer, etc.) then you should be absolutely able to walk in most any of them and find this in stacks.

As I stated before, I live in a big city, so with what you said, plus the fact there's like 3-4+ Gamestops, multiple Best Buys, multiple Walmarts, and other stores selling it tonight, I think I'll test my luck later and show up to hopefully get a copy on the spot. Thanks for the input.

You're probably safe to buy it tonight if you haven't pre-ordered. I went to Walmart for Black Ops and MW3 and only had to wait 5-10mins. Enjoy!

Btw, anyone from the ol' PS3 crew gettin' on this? Raigekijin, Leroy, Olga Flow, etc. I'm lookin at you!

store on base ran out of copies in 15 minutes. called a friend in line at another base, they were already out. if no work is going down on Okinawa, you know why.

Yup. Agreed. I was working on the house today and have a shit load of stuff to drop off at Goodwill, which is right next door to the Gamestop. Just made sense to make the trip out tomorrow.

Just a heads up to those who havent bought yet, can be purchased at Toysrus online and instore for $49.99, promo currently, buy any game $59.99 or more get $10 off, buy 2, get $30 off. I price matched at Best Buy, got my game and my fiances for 44.99 each, we each had gift cert of $25 each, so $40+ tax out the door, was good shit.

There had to be at least 60-80 people at the store I went to, but I arrived just 5 minutes after 12, so I got a good spot, and got out with my copy maybe 20 minutes later. I got myself a free BO2 poster as well, and the wait wasn't bad at all, since everyone in line was pretty chatty. I'm going into this one blind (haven't read anything about it really), so lets see how this goes, haha.

The footage I am seeing and things I am hearing "second coming of CoD4 MW" are really getting my attention. Is there anything better or worse about the PC version? I remember people were crying about not having dedicated servers.. then all the people on the boycott online playing the damn game lol.

1 map i know ima hate every-time it pops

Fucking airship map... snipers delight . Soon as i spawned don it "oh this is gonna be fucking nightmare of snipers"

Played for 6 hrs or so, pretty fun, played a couple campaign missions. I like the challenges, adds extra replay. Didnt try out zombies yet.

So good opinions so far it seems? I'm gonna pick this up during my lunch break. I already heard complaints about how certain perks unlock at some stupid levels. (like ghost at 55)

I forgot to pre-order this, but hopefully I can grab a copy if I show up right when Gamestop opens. I'm probably the only person buying it just to play the campaign and against bots.

The graphics on PC are AMAZING if you set it all up. I mean incredible. Stunning. Gameplay so far is extremely solid. Trolls already hitting the metacritic ratings though.
