You could sell the mattress and get a new one. Offload it on Craigslist or something and just don't mention someone died in it.

I wouldn't think there'd be anything wrong with the boxspring, but I'm guessing they're probably the cheaper of the set anyways.

Well, tbh, you don't really need to throw them away or bleach them unless he vomited, urinated, pooped, ejaculated or bled on them. A body doesn't start decomposing that fast, so the bedding isn't ruined. It's merely a matter of feeling; will you feel uncomfortable using them because someone died on them? Then throw them away; no amount of bleaching will remove that feeling.

Or, you could leave an anonymous note attached that says "The ghost of Vomit Jones haunts this bed." and then sneak into their house like three weeks later wearing a sheet covered in vomit and scare the piss out of them.

The body was not dead long enough for it to be of any health concern to you. Unless he had an STD and bled all over you I wouldn't be concerned.

Shit, I would be more concerned about being charged with manslaughter than I would be of any possible health problems.
