Well, yeah, it was retarded.
He got roped up and told he was a fucking moron for trying to do it.

When you've survived long enough in the battlefield to get scouted by an arms dealer into her elite bodyguard team, one would think you'd have enough survival instinct to not get out of your cover, run straight into a guy spamming an automatic at you, especially when your team member has a covered area to stage your firefight on.
I don't mind bravados much if it has a point, but it didn't, and the inconsistencies between the fact that the enemy being able to take out a bunch of mook sniper from mid-long range yet not even graze the retarded kid coming at them from short range really does deter my enjoyment from the series. I don't expect too much realism, but I really do want my show to be a bit smarter.
Machine gun guy must've been an off-duty storm trooper. Nothing to worry about there.
I wrote about that in my blog post for Jorm and I came to the same conclusion as you did but I put in some perspective to try to save it from being way too fucking unrealistic and stupid.
For one, it does look better than just people shooting from behind cover and missing the entire time. What pissed me off more was how bad a shot everyone was despite being elite bodyguards and assassins. Having Jonah charge and fire certainly looks more exciting from an action perspective and him pulling a stunt like that gives Lehm a teaching moment for Jonah and shows a bit more insight into both their characters. So yeah, overall it was a retarded scene but it does serve two points in the anime.
But yeah, I did bitch about that after the episode, too, so I understand what you're saying.
Kore wa Zombie Desu ka Episode 3...

Is that butt love or buff love? And no more loli-Rin please. She's annoying.
Apollon 3
Makes me want to bash my head into a wall, in a good way. Captivating. I'm enraged at the characters because they're so realistic and well written.
Eureka 7 AO
Decent but all it did was set up for the next episode and it looks like Pied Piper is going to approach Ao about joining them after the fight, also looks like he'll be forced off of the island.

Lupin 04
Unparalleled brilliance, as always. Everything is perfect about this show. I haven't said that before. If you're not watching this, even if you have not seen any Lupin III material beforehand, you are making a grave mistake.
Actually I thought 4 made like no sense, the resolution was confusing too very abrupt end. Fujiko steps in water, weird metaphorical sequence, guy chokes her, guy decides to stop choking her, 5 seconds later they are making soup and laughing about throwing the jeweled mask that is worth a nation into the fire. The fact that Fujiko is fucking Zenigata makes so little sense as well.
I really enjoyed episode 4 but I did think some parts were a bit messy like Maguspk mentioned. I can understand them throwing the mask into the fire since that's how a lotta old Lupin episodes ended (no one gets the treasure) but that whole choking scene, then seeing it was Ayan and then being totally okay with everyone was a bit strange. Same with the water but I guess the water was an introduction to Fujiko's past which will come up later or something.
Still, pretty fucking awesome episode.
I think she was fucking Zenigata cause she had "no choice". I'm assuming he caught her and sort of struck a deal with her, aside from making her pleasure him, which is what I would have done in Zenigata's shoes.
Lupin 4 - The episode was fun, but I'll agree that the end was a little wtf. I'm okay with no one getting the mask since Lupin has long been established as not really caring about the items he steals and being in it more for the challenge of the job. Even with a few minor complaints this show is still absolutely amazing. Also, good for Zenigata getting to tap that Fujiko.
Sakamichi no Apollon 3 - Why is it that music shows almost always seem to have the most realistic characters? I love that in 3 episodes they've managed to create these characters with real depth and that act in a believable way. Plus it's got Jazz, and fuck the haters Jazz music is awesome.
Zetman 4 - I haven't written about Zetman yet, but I wanted to give my impressions so far.The animation has been decent, but nothing amazing. The art style is okay as well, but I'm willing to give almost anything that isn't moe blob a pass these days sadly.Spoiler: show

Wow, if the manga of Zetman moves slower than the anime it must have some glacial pacing. I really want to like the series, and the action scenes are fun, but damn the actual story is going nowhere fast slow.
the manga has alot more detail.. and background developing characters (kinda makes ya really sad about that 1 old man dying).
yeah the anime is going.. super fast forward skipping a ton, compared to the manga.
