HA! SE did the right thing. Sucks the attendees lose out on the really great items but they only have to look at the asses that decided to publicly sell the tags on the servers :D

6-8PM on each day is when the game-saving information will potentially be released. I didn't see a timezone, but I assume Pacific.
I'm somewhat discouraged by the high ratio of bullshit time to realtalk time, but I haven't paid attention to event schedules in the past so I'm not sure how they've done it. If anyone on BG that can speak Japanese is willing to tweet interesting tidbits from the talk, I'd be willing to use Twitter to read it.
Edit: Actually, considering the NA summary for the Battlefield stuff is down to half an hour twice...
Well.... wow. I mean, Dev Talk time looks like Q&A because it's time-delayed for the NA stream so they can translate what was asked/answered.
They could theoretically just read all the updates they've announced but not implemented and kill all of their time.
6-8pm JST is like, what, 2-4am PDT?
Is it sad the biggest thing I'm looking forward to are the two music performances? The other stuff has the potential to fail, the music much less so.
The Dev Talk session is not a Q&A if it's done like last time. Better yet it's a Q&A with questions asked by the Devs and answered by the Devs so it's not really a true one lol. It's simply their way to announce things... last time it was the cap increase.
That schedule is cool and all, but I didn't see when THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT EVERYONE CARES ABOUT - that will allegedly drastically change the game - is. If this massively trumped announcement is just another VW/Limbus/Dynamis/Assault/Salvage/Einherjar/etc then thats a major disappointment (and likely the end of a bunch of players' times in Vanadiel - I've come across 2 people ingame besides myself who are on the stick with FFXI / quit FFXI fence and are hinging that decision on this 'announcement' so it better just not be another battlefield.
Anything short of a major expansion would pretty much dash any expectation there. Even then, SE and Expansions tend not to mesh well together when it comes to timely releases.
Yes, I can't wait for another WotG fiaso that stretches out for 5 years this time (due to even less resources than during the WotG era). I love the story in FFXI more than anything else the game has to offer, but I'm not looking forward to waiting 3-6 months for story advancements. It's just ridiculous at this point.
We wouldn't have to wait like we used to but I think people with access to the test server would probly spoil the plot.
My guess is the storyline wouldn't be on the test server? Just new changes/NMs/etc?
I am working under the premise that there is no big announcement to avoid disappointment. If there is a big announcement and it sucks ("hey guys, we're adding new chapters to 'A Crystalline Prophecy'") it won't matter, and if they do have a big announcement and it is huge ("hey guys, a real expansion with a real story, and it won't be stretched out over many years") I will be excited. Seriously, stop expecting something amazing because people are going to blow it so far out of proportion that nothing is going to match reality.
I would say that the Dynamis changes are good for the most part. Some of the drop rates for NM pop items (Fomors in Beaucedine for example) can be a bit terrible, and the utter dependence on Dancer as main or sub to get currency could be reworked, but all in all it is a massive improvement over the old system.
I'm predicting server merges (3 servers -> 1 server) as the big announcement.
The big announcement is that we've all beaten the game.
Edit: Just to clarify, Tanaka needed to write a dissertation on the effects of bad MMORPG on stress level. Little did you know that we've been participating in a research study that Tanaka is finally ready to present to his colleagues at Tokyo University. Grats Tanaka and I'm sure you'll make a fine psychologist.
