its funny i'm actually glad we only explored the zone dats 1 week before vanafest. had it been when the dats first came out it woulda been an excruciating long wait till this weekend.

Someone pointed out a while ago that they specifically used the words "a realm reborn" in their legacy campaign advertising stuff, so it's almost definitely FFXIV. Suppose there's a small chance that it's an unlikely coincidence as well.

As someone said a few pages ago, Abyssea stuff was trademarked a few days before the 2010 Vanafest, (filed 2/25/2010 - vanafest 2/28/2010) does this mean it's too late for a late trademark in time for this Vanafest? Still possible but now super unlikely? Sadness..

pretty sure wings of the goddess wasn't TM'd till the day before its announcement. regardless there is still a TM out there atm not used by SE that sounds like a box expansion title, blood of chaos.

as for a realm reborn, i believe they filed trademark because they also bought the domain (arealmreborn.com iirc) which is most likely their 2.0 teaser info site. And because a realm reborn isn't exactly unique they probably just wanted to cover their bases and make sure the name/site/etc isn't easily disputable and have it backed by a tm.
