There are lots of dragoons, and dragons were common at least 15 years ago. The bison jacket set and totem pole furniture come from there, so there's some native american/western type designs. I remember there was a post/teaser on the official site back when CoP first came out that spotlighted the Bison set, so that's probably where that info comes from. Exorcists come from there.

We don't have much. An NPC, and dialogue from the dark lilies NPC's. Achtelle the freelance DRG hails from Adoulin which is located on an island somewhere between here and the far western continent of Ulbuka. Supposedly it also has a large library bigger then any of them on Mindartia and Quon. That's really about it XD. Also for a bit of hypothetical, I think this expansion 'theme' might be based on colonial america/European theme. The jungles plus the general structure of the city screams colonial to me for some reason.

You have to be very careful when you reference "west" in Vanadiel. There's a fewcommon uses. The "Far West" of course. But there's also many times, particularly in CoP, where Tavnazia is "in the west". Which it is, it's just not the same as "Far West".

And also the ancient moogle kingdom was referenced to be in the "west" somewhere, from as long ago as safe upgrade quests, and now still in Mog Tablet lore. But it's probably the most tricky directional reference to use. It's hard to tell if they mean THE far west, or just a vague western-ish place like close off the coast of mainland in ancient times. The Far West has as little known about it as the North. Where much more is known about the East and South.

They also call the Middle Lands "The West" in Aht Urghan. It's like the first line Waoud says when you're starting the Blue Mage unlock quest.

well, just as it works in the real world, directional stuff is relative.

but i guess when you specifically call it "The West" or "The Far West" it makes it slightly clearer.
