Any UI screens?
Also yeah, Matsui news actually makes me think I will come back to try it when it comes out.
Tanaka is retiring?
And lo, the 5'th seal was broken. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on he that dwell on the earth, causing ruin to the Final Fantasy name?
They look really bad but whatever, click and drag, and multiple windows.
UI screens: http://gamerescape.com/2012/06/24/se...ext-expansion/
2nd on UI screenies....or a general write up of things so far would be nice, damn being in EU nd no longer able to stay awake for this kinda stuff![]()
FFXI without Tanaka may actually have some hope!
I suppose FFXI's future just got brighter.
Much as I dislike the guy's MMO philosophy, I don't wanna see him laid up in the hospital and the like, either.
Wheres the link to all the info post festival? XD
What does the producer actually do? Did he have as big of an impact as everyone thought he did? Also, Matsui is supposedly the one responsible for Abyssea, and I don't think anyone wants to go down that road again.
Most of Abyssea was pretty fun to me, I really don't know why so many people seemed to hate on it... reasonable droprates once you figured out the stagger system, little competition on NMs (sans the empy upgrade timed mobs), and blazing fast EXP. Sure, big LSs basically died because of it, but that was maybe a good thing since leaders could no longer play favorites by abusing their followers hard work. LSs that were made up of friends stayed together and worked on each other's goals together.
I had an incredible amount of fun with Abyssea until it turned into a grindfest to kill time and make more Empyreans. I'm pretty sure a lot of other people felt that Abyssea was an extremely welcome change after the same shit in a game that seemed like it was on the verge of dying. It also brought back a lot of players who had quit long ago, for a time at least.
I had fun with Abyssea until it became a chore. After that happened, I'd constantly fall asleep during events and shit lol. That's not even my main gripe with Abyssea though. Abyssea in my eyes completely changed the average to the point if you weren't good you were really bad.
Abyssea allowed for anyone who had a desire to get well geared to actually do so. No bullshit bottlenecks or dealing with attendance/lotting list nonsense. You could play and gear yourself at any pace that you desired really. If you were bad, it was completely your fault for not putting any effort in.
I don't think people are dying to get Abyssea 2.0 and that's why they are happy Matsui is taking over again. At least in my view, it'd be nice to have a development team that actually listens to the players again.
We've got a whole expansion to wait for before we worry about such things as another Abyssea.
