Boston fan living in Atlanta for about 5 years now and I have to say the situation is inbetween what Welt and Moss are talking about. I wouldn't say all the fans there (that are fans of Atlanta teams) are ignorant, most of the people I come across are fairly well educated about their teams and can say a good thing or two about the teams they like. The attendance figures however are a good indicator of a team not deserving to win. The Braves had one of the best teams in baseball for 15 years straight, and could never sell out a baseball game, that's embarrassing no matter how you spin it. The Hawks only sell out when the Heat are in town (or Chicago, or Boston etc). In the defense of the city, like the article that Moss linked suggests, is that it is a transient city, I am a prime example, I see as many Red Sox and Yankees hats in town than I see Braves hats... and that's in the city!
I have to say, for what it's worth, that Dodgers fans may be the worst fans as the game is mostly a place to be seen at and a vast majority of them aren't paying attention. I work directly with sports teams across the country and for what it's worth I have to say that Blackhawks fans, and Yankees, Red Sox, and Phillies fans are the best (if you take into consideration attendance and knowing their shit).
Dumb baseball fan
nah, santa just gets puked on these days
Cowboys @ NYG as the inaugural 2012 game, presented to this thread without comment.
hoping that either the patriots or saints game will be primetime and the saints will be home week 1. I'll be in nola on my honeymoon and want to go to the game, but won't if it coincides with the pats game.
do work planning committee.
when does this shit get announced anyways?
Typically the week before the draft
Cowboys starting and ending the season in last place.
Oak @ Cincy gonna be a Monday night game.
Wow, a guy comes to catch-up on a thread and leaves wondering if it should actually be called "NFL Offseason Thread: Team X Fans > Team Y Fans for Seven Months".
Could just be another QB X > QB Y or the time tested "Romo isn't really great at all" argument honestly if it wasn't this. The offseason tends to do that during the boring parts unless something interesting develops.
The odd part is that someone is marrying your ass.
Obligatory: Is it a tron themed wedding?
