Yep, I don't see the Saints any easier to beat this year. Carmichael called the majority of the plays in our 9 game winning streak at the end of the season. Saints have rebuilt their LB core in the offseason which was the no.1 thing Saints fans have complained about since the 90's. It is going to be amazing to finally see LB's that can shed blocks and go eat up a ball carrier instead of getting absorbed. I fully expect our defense to be much much improved, I don't expect the offense to miss much of a beat even losing a Carl Nicks, infact, many people believe Grubbs is a better run blocker than Nicks.
As far as the division goes.
I expect the Panthers to be better, they get some key defenders back from injury.
I don't know what to expect from the Bucs but they got better in free agency. Either way, I won't be surprised if they go 4-12 or 11-5.
Falcons should be in the thick of things, although losing Lofton hurt, Matt Ryan needs to improve his deep ball accuracy. He misses a wide open Julio Jones twice in that Texans game that would have been touchdowns which would have changed their entire season imo.
Saints should still be the favorites for the division, you could even make the argument that they got better. Losing Payton will hurt a lot but I'm comfortable with who's calling the plays and think Spags will field a better defense.
http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story/...atory-workoutsNew England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker, who was tagged as the Patriots' franchise player last month and has yet to sign his tender or participate in voluntary workouts, said Tuesday he has not had any contract talks since being tagged and did not think he would attend mandatory minicamp if there wasn't progress toward a long-term deal.
"Through my body of work, through the past five years, I think what I've done I've earned a long-term deal," he said in an interview with Adam Jones on ESPN Boston Radio on Tuesday. "It's what I am looking for and what I want. Hopefully that's the case and hopefully we come to something where we can make that happen."
there you go derock. instead of wasting 1 pick, the vikings might be able to squander multiple!Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter
Here we go: Vikes GM Rick Spielman said trade talk at No. 3 is "heating up....There is enough that there is a potential for a trade."
He's ok
White man doesn't report for work, more at 11.
Those leopard print cowboy boots he was sporting on NFL network were hilarious. Listening to him talk to Jerry Rice on NFL Live made me think he's kind of a douche and I really didn't have an opinion on him before that.
Parcell's draft show is on now. I enjoyed this last year, they added Bill Polian to it this year, should be good.
