Pretty happy with Coples. He was my second choice with Ingram being first.. can't believe they both were there. What the FUCK @ Bruce Irvin rofl. Ingram is a better player but Coples is a better pass rusher, so can't complain.

Round 2 I'll take: Hill, Massie, Branch, Curry, Sanu, Upshaw if he somehow drops another 15, and maybe fatty mclardass.

After the Gholston debacle, I'm a bit shocked they took someone with work ethic issues. Maybe they mean to redeem themselves, bit I'd def had rather had Ingram and probably Jones.

I don't think the Irvin pick wil be that Bad, but we'll see. I got to see him play a few times, And he always seemed pretty legit, but it wasn't like he was facing elite talent.

Gholston was average with killer measureables and a beast-mode combine. Coples balled out with 10 sacks junior year and got labelled as lazy for dropping to only 7.5 sacks.. after 4 coaches and a position change. Not really worried about it and don't understand the comparison, though I guess it's going to be brought up for every pass rusher drafted in the next 20 years thanks to Gholston being a historic bust.

Not really a comparison, just curious they took the rusher that most think has the highest bust potential. On top of that, Idk, just seems like a really weird pick to me scheme wise. Almost like theyre making it even harder for Coples to succeed. Ingram was a perfect scheme fit and really had no questions. Always gave 100% and was projected by most mocks to be a top 10 pick. I'm sure Rex will find a place for him, but he just seems to be too big for an OLB and too little for a 3-4 DE.

i think rex just values the drama potential.

feels fucking great to have such a beast first round. Hoping for a DB and an offensive toy (fast RB/WR) tomorrow, maybe lamichael so we can stockpile more midgets

I'll take... well, frankly anyone. I'm disgusted by Denver's first round. Give up 25th for... 36th and 101st. While helping the Patriots, of all teams, get better. I'm not bitter.

I'm still laughing at the cowboys picking the dumbest player ever. He will fit in well there. Dallas PD will get to know him real soon too.

Him and Dez are gunna fuck up so many strip clubs!

as a Bears fan, I can honestly say that I'm very happy with their first round pick. McClellin should be a really nice fit with the rotation at DE, and probably will end up starting. Potentially could play the Sam LB and DE on 3rd downs, but I think it's more likely he just puts on a few lbs and plays DE.

Good fit, and fills a need. Can't wait to see day 2.

    also,
The Cleveland Browns traded up to draft running back Trent Richardson, seemingly to help take pressure off quarterback Colt McCoy, but a report now says that a different QB might be the beneficiary of that choice.

Browns general manager Tom Heckert said Thursday that the team is considering trading McCoy after drafting quarterback Brandon Weeden with their second first-round pick (No. 22 overall out of Oklahoma State).

"It's something we'll talk about tonight and tomorrow," Heckert said, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Weeden enters the NFL at age 28 after pursuing a career in baseball, meaning that he likely will be playing right away.

McCoy, 25, is 6-15 as a starter for the Browns.

There's an article on ESPN with him saying he blew off the Wonderlic test cause there were no questions about football on there so he didn't want to do it. This guy is going to bomb so hard, I hope he turns into the defensive version of Ryan Leaf and is caught stealing vicodin from teammates in a couple years.

I like how if he was picked by a different team 90% of the people on the forums would be sucking his dick.
