The grade is on the value of the pick position, has nothing to do with the players. Teams work off a chart when they trade picks, saying "the number 117 pick is worth 92 points, and I'll trade down for the number 142 pick (58 points) and the 161 pick (30 points).

Numbers are made up, but the teams basically all use the same chart.
