romo is good, not great, and fails miserable in many settings. His WRs are a little above average.
There is no way romo is top 5. Brady, peyton Manning, Brees, Rodgers are top 4, so you assholes are trying to tell me romo is better than vick, eli, cutler, stafford, big ben (when healthy), schaub, and rivers. no way
I'd put him over all of those people besides Eli. Stafford has mega-fucking-tron. Schaub has Andre-fucking-Johnson and Owen Daniels (and worse stats). Rivers has an army of 7 foot receivers, and ben is dumb. Vick is a different type of QB, but i'd rather have Romo on my team than him.
Also, just saying, 2 of the people on that list are in the NFC Beast![]()
You'd put Romo over Brady, Manning and Brees?
I want what you're smoking.
Edit: Derp nvm Demos listed Eli apart of the top 4 (lol)
Reading comprehension, you lack it today Tajin..
Big ben is in the dilfer has a ring category. Noone comes up small in the superbowl like ben.
Knowledge.
He also has no run game to speak of for most his career, until a ~6 game stretch last year when Murray got a chance to start and before he got hurt. All of those numbers are building blocks for Romo's top-5 case, but the largest one may be how he displayed an elite ability to raise the level of play of those around him last season.
To illustrate this, note that Romo threw 171 passes to Dez Bryant and Miles Austin. Those two racked up 1,520 yards on those targets, a total that equates to an 8.9 YPA.
Now contrast that to the numbers posted by the backup wide receivers Jesse Holley, Kevin Ogletree and Laurent Robinson. They compiled 1,220 yards on a combined 114 targets, totals that equate to a 10.7 YPA, or a mark nearly 2 yards higher than the YPA posted by Bryant and Austin. Few passers are able to achieve double-digit YPA productivity out of no-name backups, and these figures show Romo has proved he is capable of doing that.
I believe they went 5-1 in that stretch - give Romo even the threat of a run game and his numbers soared. Otherwise he's dodging 3-4 passrushers every down because the opposing team knows they are passing.
Yes, debatable, yes, barely, yes (dilfer), yes, yes.so you assholes are trying to tell me romo is better than vick, eli, cutler, stafford, big ben (when healthy), schaub, and rivers. no way
Guess what? Both Eli and Tom Brady threw away 2 games each with tons of INTs, just like Romo did.
Eli has led the league in turnovers 2 of the last 4 years. His pass rush has just stepped it up in the playoffs, totally demolishing the opposing QBs.
Romo is a system QB that benefitted from his TE and WRs. Throw Cutty in there and you get a ring.
ITT: if romo doesn't win it's cause the players around him suck dick. If cutty doesn't win it's cause he sucks dick.
Manodumb
Leroy
Valisk
Anyone else want to consign to this statement? Cause I'm making a list and will be checking it twice before the season starts.
Cutler has a defense and a running game, unlike Romo.
I do sympathize with you that one of his WR is Roy Williams and his O-line is pretty terrible (not as bad as Romo's, mind you) but Cutler isn't near as good as Romo outside the pocket, so I guess that makes up for it.
If Romo's big knock is he doesn't win playoff games (by himself), shouldn't that apply to Cutty too? Has Cutler even made it to the playoffs yet?
The fun thing about this convo is looking up these advanced rate stats

And seeing Aaron Rodgers just demolishing every other modern QB in every one of them. It's just nasty.
holy shit
let's see
Bears 2011 offensive line: http://www.profootballfocus.com/blog...-lines-part-1/
32nd in the league.
Cowboys 2011 offensive line: http://www.profootballfocus.com/blog...-lines-part-2/
15th in the league.
Gotta love cowboy fans.
During the season the were tripping over each other fighting about who gets to slobber over DMM cock and how elite your run defense was but now in an effort to pump up your average wetback qb they suck? Do I got that right?
The biggest knock on Romo is that he comes up small in the playoffs. He has a 80.8 passer rating in his 4 playoff games (which would be 53rd in NFL history), and only scored more than 1 touchdown in 1 of those 4 (the only game he won). A guy who can't be counted on for even 12 points in the playoffs can't consider himself top-5.
my fav thing about cowboys fans is that they think demarco murray will be good. LOL. he is julius jones all over again. plays a portion of rookie year and tears it up against soft ass teams. will return to be the worst ever.
