Again, this is my fault for being wrong. I was in class 90% focused on chest tubes and about 10% focused on BG. To say Miami has FO issues is just wrong. Harbaugh turned down Miami for the reasons you listed above, he's a stanford guy. Fisher turned it down for control issues. Ireland wouldn't give up control and he shouldn't. Ireland has done a damn good job. Reggie Bush turned out great despite people ripping Ireland, Brandon Marshall was a damn good pickup worthy of what we gave (which essentially amounted to one second round pick after the draft day trades). The drafts have been really good. The team is incredibly fucking solid outside of QB, and even with their shitty QB, they would have won the Niners division going away in 3 of the last 4 seasons. It's easy to talk shit when you are facing the worst division in football as opposed to the best (or one of the two best) every year. It's fine if you want to poke fun at the Dolphins, but outside of this season, the Fins front office and team have been much better than the niners and much better than people are giving them credit for.
Also, you're still wrong on the widlcat issue. They had what, 500 total yards of wildcat offense on 8% plays. 21% of the TDs came on the wildcat because it was just a superior red zone running offese, although 5 of those TDs were in one game to skew that number substantially.
Tell me Miami's bad moves under Ireland Tweek. Losing Fisher because he didn't want to give up control or losing Harbaugh because he wanted to stay in Cali. Which is his fault?
god damnit tweek, you are the worst
yeah i think they've been moving in the right direction since 2009... I fully admit I was wrong about Reggie Bush but I can't say I feel all warm on them being 100% fixed, I could easily be wrong about that as I was about the decision to get Bush though like the Bush thing only time and success can prove people wrong
Only 1 player in Miami's entire 2011 draft didn't have somewhat significant playtime, and that's because he was a 7th rounder backing up Paul Solia.
2010 Draft
Jared Odrick, played a ton and started at DE
Koa Misi, starting LB
John Jerry, in the offensive line rotation
Nolan Carol - 5th rounder that started some at corner, also plays safety.
Reshad Jones - started some at safety.
That's the reason they didn't take Fisher...Ireland has no reason to give up personnel moves. Again, to say they have some horrible management because they have an owner that wants to make a splash and sell tickets is disingenuous.
good way to sum up seeing as there is no way to respond to posts like these:
people were siding with Tyche even though he admitted later he was mistaken about some shit, they didn't care what was being posted only who was posting
I was late to this thread reading, but I knew he was wrong the whole time. But here's the thing: it didn't matter. The dolphins did or did not make bad personnel decisions because the wildcat happened in 2008 and not 2007. The dolphins have always been a pretty solid team (god knows they play the patriots tough every fucking time) that was missing a quarterback. The defense has been above average the last few years, and they have some real weapons on offense. If they get manning, they should draft trent richardson imo.
also, manning going to denver tonight to visit with the broncos. oh god I want that to happen so badly so we can see the tebow fans cry
god phil rivers you are just the worst

Verona, PA - The Rick Santorum for President campaign is proud to announce that it has received the endorsement of All-Pro Quarterback and Decatur, Alabama native Philip Rivers.
Philip Rivers said: "I am supporting Rick Santorum for President because of his stance on issues that attack vital Christian values our country was founded upon: no abortion, upholding traditional marriage, defending religious freedom, no euthanasia. Rick Santorum will also fight to create jobs and expand opportunities for all Americans. I am proud to endorse Senator Santorum and do what I can to help him secure the Republican nomination for President of the United States."
Philip Rivers, a Decatur, Alabama native was the fourth overall pick in the 2004 NFL draft from North Carolina State University. Rivers is a four-time pro-bowl selection for the San Diego Chargers, leading the Chargers to the 2007 AFC Championship Game. Rivers' career passer rating is third best all-time among NFL quarterbacks. Rivers and his wife Tiffany established the Rivers of Hope Foundation to help abandoned and orphaned children find loving homes. The Rivers are the proud parents of six children.
I think the Dolphins would be highly competitive even with a slight above average QB, throwing a 80-85% Peyton Manning in there I could see a 10-6 record @ worst. I don't see Peyton Manning as a good fit with the 49'ers just because Harbaugh probably isn't going to let Peyton call his own plays, this is going to play into where he goes. I think Flynn will probably end up as a Dolphin, knows the system, still young with a ton of upside.
Wow Phillip Rivers, fuck you man.
Manning also reportedly going to visit Arizona on his trip out west. That's where I want him the most, tbh, but it'll probably be Miami or Denver.![]()
manning to denver, tebow to jaguars where he loses for the rest of his career.
ALL HE DOES IS LOSE
Report: Chiefs have already offered Manning a contract | National Football Post
The team that took on Joe Montana in the twilight of his career is apparently hoping for the same type of short-term revival with Manning, as radio host Brandon Spano reports, citing a source, that the Chiefs have already prepared a contract offer for the quarterback who has been on the open market less than 24 hours after officially clearing waivers on Thursday.
lol, didn't waste no time.
phil rivers will not stop me from euthanising myself
