A long time NFL executive and even longer time Egotastic! reader reports that the Rams have indeed traded their #2 draft pick in the 2012 NFL Draft to the Washington Redskins who will most certainly be expected to draft Robert Griffin III with their new and improved draft pick.

The Rams have been shopping around their #2 draft slot to every NFL team with their eye on the RG3 prize for the past month or so and it seems like the Redskins have now won the bidding with a compensation package that is believed to include their #6 pick this season, their #1 pick in next year's draft, and perhaps some current players as well.

Public announcements expected in the near future.

I think the fans know the pressure is on Snyder and Shanahan to not fuck up his development now. I would be fine with Rex starting the next two years personally if they wanted to bring RG3 along slowly. This franchise has had shit for QBs the last 20 years. Who was our last good QB? Brad Johnson for one year? Before him? Mark Rypien in 91?

The franchise and the fans needed an elite QB prospect.

The off-season would have been a failure if they didn't get Manning or RG3 and obviously they knew it and were willing to pay for it.
