Excited to wake up and read about the Skins trading up for the #2 pick. The league revolves around QB play. It's not like they traded their entire draft for this year and next year to move up. I can live with swapping a first, then the first rounders from 2013 and 2014 with the 2nd. With any success, those first round picks from 2013 and 2014 will be near the bottom of the first round, so NBD.

RG3 was raised by two Army parents, and in all of the appearances I've seen him, he appears confident but not cocky, poised, and intelligent - good traits for a leader & QB. I doubt he'll flame out due to character issues. I think if he isn't successful, it won't be as a result of his lack of preparation, it'll probably be because of injury or a weak offensive line in front of him.

He isn't some flash in the pan, he just finally had some talent around him last year and he was beast mode. Dude has Vick talent but smart and can throw accurately. He is a pocket passer who has Vick speed and a large portion of his runs came from designed runs at Baylor, not just him taking off after looking at his covered #1 and 2 options.

3 1sts is too much but fuck it, let's go deep. We NEEDED a possible franchise QB. When your QBs have been Rex, Beck, JC, Gus and Heath for the last 20 years, you need to pay to change the course of a franchise. The skins are never bad enough to get a high enough pick for the best QBs and they haven't been lucky enough to accidentally draft some elite QB in the late rounds that everyone else and their mother passed on.

Correct me if I'm wrong(which I may very well be) but the Skins aren't exactly a wealth of talent? I have nothing against the guy. Every interview I've seen with him he seems very smart and well spoken. I hope he succeeds.

The Skins are not as bad as people like to claim, especially not as bad as BG ppl say. The defense is beast, has been for awhile. Orakpo/Kerrigan/Fletcher is beast LB core. Landry was injured all year last year, Landry is now healthy, and Otogwe was solid, beast Saftey combo. Hall/Wilson is ok for CBs, Hall takes chances and gets burned but he can cover pretty much anyone in the NFL. DLine is ok and will get better with Jenkins this year, we could use a true NT but Cofield was good and WANTs to play NT unlike FatAlbert.

Basically, Skins D is set and beast for the next several years, just needs to get deeper, so the offense just needs to not fuck shit up, which JC did constantly and Rex did occasionally. (Beck couldn't even move the ball to try to fuck things up)

WR is old but not terrible, get one of the multiple top level FA Wrs and they are good. Gaffney was a beast possesion WR, Moss is still good but getting old, Hankerson was starting to come along when he got injured. Fred Davis is a good TE, if Cooley is healthy, good #2 TE. The RBs are SET, Helu was beast and will be #1, Hightower was good and will probably be the spell bac k/third down back, great pass blocker and Royster makes a good #3 option. So we have weapons to use. The OL wasn't great but they were better then I expected, we need several new linemen but Shanahan's system makes it so the OL is less important. He constantly moves the QB around on boot legs and roll outs, which will be amazing with a QB who can run. His run scheme is more about moving the DLine and opening up holes rather then powering them down.

Skins need a #1WR from FA and need to rebuild/fill holes on the OLine. Otherwise, it's all about getting depth. This team isn't as bad as ppl like to say. We beat down the SB champs twice and if not for a fluky tip/int on the goal line in the final seconds, would have taken NE to OT. btw, the Skins have a ton of cap space, for all the shit Snyder gets for huge contracts, he somehow pays the guys in a way that it doesn't hurt us when they suck and he get rid of them.

The Skins are capable of beating the Giants 99% of the time, so that's 2 wins right there.

Landry is also an unrestricted free agent, along with Fletcher, McIntosh and a few other pieces. Defense could take a step back next season. Hightower UFA too but I think Helu/Royster is the plan.

Fletcher WANTs to finish his career a Skin, he will be back. Landry should be back as well, McIntosh didn't play much last year and Riley stepped in well but I think we need some more depth at ILB. I read somewhere that Hightower will be back too and he REALLY wants to come back, even if it's a lesser role.
