From what I read the Browns offered the same package the Skins did but they waited too long and the Rams and Skins already had a verbal agreement. Since the CLE package only matched the Skins' one the Rams didn't want to back out. Though I personally think the Browns are worse then the Skins and will be worse the next several years, I think their draft picks will be higher then the skins' picks. Just looking at divisions, the AFC North is easily tougher then the NFC East with the Bengals actually being solid now.

and no you aren't alone Tyr, the Skins overpaid, but after 20 years of shitty QBs, we needed to overpay, and I'm glad they did.

It's hard to overpay considering a franchise QB is by far the most important player in the NFL. Obviously, there is no guarantee he pans out, but considering his intangibles/mental makeup and physical ability, I think it's a fair price.

Easier to sign/draft weapons after you have the franchise QB than pay a good WR like BMarsh or Fitzgerald and waste his talent with a shit QB. A good QB is going to make average guys look better anyway.

pats should have 20m in cap space when they cut ocho. They could easily get wallace + lloyd for 16m and have plenty of room for defensive role players, especially if they make a tough cut somewhere
