DeSean guarantees Super Bowl:
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...-a-super-bowl/Last year the Eagles’ “Dream Team” nickname was derisively used against them after their big-name free-agent signings didn’t turn them into title contenders. But that isn’t stopping one Eagle from boasting about the team’s chances this year.
DeSean Jackson, the wide receiver who signed a five-year contract with a base value of $47 million to remain with the Eagles, is brimming with confidence right now.
“I’m just happy to still be here,” Jackson said, via USA Today. “I’m going to guarantee a Super Bowl. We’ve been so close since I’ve been here the past four years. . . . The sky’s the limit.”
Those comments are sure to be remembered by players and fans of opposing teams, just as Vince Young’s “Dream Team” label turned into a curse last season. But Jackson said he’s not backing down.
“Hands down I think we’re one of the best teams in the NFL,” Jackson said. “I want to shoot for the Hall of Fame. I want to shoot for Super Bowls.”
bregor, scroll up
Fuck.
Oddly enough though, your post is at the top of my page 25.
lol that wasn't planned
lmfao
Just to follow up, the above is out of context. What he actually said:
I just feel that my destiny with the Eagles is very bright and I'm still happy that I have five bright years to look for. In one of those years, I'm going to guarantee a Super Bowl because we've been close the past four years that I've been here. Last year, with it being a tough year, just the way we caught on fire towards the end of the year, I see this team as the sky being the limit.
that doesn't change the context at all...
"we gonna win a superbowl"
"we gonna win a superbowl in one of the years we make a good run"
this is not different
Except that the media ate it up last year and are attempting to do it again, which neither player actually said what was quoted. It wasn't a boast, he wasn't scoffing at only scoring 17 points, etc just him expressing his positive feelings about the team.
Also work is fail by blocking BG bucket, so I can't see your attempt at a funny bregor.
only 17 points?
hahahahahaha
Local sports radio says Peyton is currently signing the contract but an announcement won't come until Monday because bud Adams grandson is getting married I'n Nashville on Saturday.
Broncos are nervous about fan repurcussions, Arizona never had an o line, and Miami gave up because they had no chance.
