Its kinda funny when you think about all those power house franchises of the 80's/early 90's haven't really done shit in the salary cap era outside of the Giants who won two superbowls in a five year period.

interesting perspective, personally I would say it has more to do with the lack of franchise level QBs standing in the way of success. Most of (not all) the dominant teams in the past decade have had a franchise type QB to help give them success.

It's a lot harder to build a decade strong dynasty these days - basically since Free Agency began in 1993? Those Cowboys/49ers/Bills teams hardly changed year to year.

The Patriots were facing a different one year wonder team every year in the Superbowl - the NFC is much tougher these days. Nowadays once you win a SB all your free agents are going to get sniped by other teams.

Now it's all about being healthy going into the playoffs and having some momentum and hope the turnovers bounce your way, because the league is so much closer to parity now than it was.

I actually love the niners fit more than any of the other rumored teams. Despite the inevitability that tweek will make an ass of himself, I want to see this happen. Indi gets Luck, Harbaugh gets Manning. It's a nice circle.

As far as Miami lowballing Flynn, I just don't think they want to see another Kolb situation. I hope they do pony up and pay him, I don't want tannehill under center. I'd rather have Moore.
