Mike Klis of the Denver Post has now updated his report and said that what Manning is actually seeking is a contract like the one he signed last year with the Colts, which was for five years and $90 million, with a whopping $61.8 million in the first two years.

That’s a whole lot of money, but Klis writes that both the Broncos and Titans are fine with that contract, if that’s what it takes to land Manning. If the reports that the 49ers are the third finalist for Manning are true, presumably that means the 49ers are fine with that contract, too.
Wow, whoever gets him, I hope you enjoy him...

yeah but the Niners can't afford to pay anything like that. WTF was all that talk about Manning is willing to have a heavy ass incentive based contract he spoke of earlier in the year?

That was probably just a rumor, and either way, with how many teams are literally begging to have him, he can afford to rape the cap space.

If he's anywhere close to his old self come Week 1 it'll be worth it tho. Even a kinda broken Peyton is better than Alex Smith anyway.

Would be more than happy to pay that for him. Would you rather have a shot at the superbowl or compete with the Bills for 3rd place next year? Thought so.

Who has the weakest pass-rushing division? Arizona.

They gave up 54 sacks last season, the SECOND MOST IN THE NFL. You have no credit with your nonsense.

Who has the easiest division? Denver or SF.

TN with Manning would get an automatic 4 wins vs. Jags/Colts. You really think there is a division worse than a division with the Jaguars and Colts? If so, you are WRONG.

Arizona has a terrible line, that doesn't mean the NFC West has great pass rush outside SF... Seattle? Rams? Either of those strike fear in anyone? My bad, though; I'd initially written that as SF/AZ, and deleted the wrong one.

And the Raiders, Chiefs, and Bolts are all pretty bad themselves. Not Colts/Jags bad, but bad. It may be four wins near-guaranteed in TN, but it's at least 4 wins in the AFC West he gets, and very possibly a sweep. I don't think a sweep is likely vs. the Texans. In SF, it's pretty much 6 free wins in division.

You just described how terrible Arizona is, not to mention they have the Rams, and Seahawks. Come on dude, AFC South isn't the worst.

We enjoyed visiting with Peyton today in N.C. He threw the ball great and looked very comfortable out there.

Yes cause 1 bad season for the Colts means they are always mediocre. I know you're obviously alittle butthurt that they pretty much always wrecked you in standings since Peyton came to town, but pretending the Colts are always gonna suck is funny. They're gonna draft a top rookie QB, they have alot of room to make improvements, and a whole draft + undrafted guys to fill in spots they can't thru FA.

    They only lost:

    Manning
    Clark
    Addai
    Garcon
    Saturday
    Likely Freeney

Yea, the Colts are going to suck for awhile.

Yes cause the guy who held out from showing up until he got a new contract that he so far has done nothing to properly earn doesn't have an attitude problem and definitely puts the team first. As opposed to people who show up and let their agents do the work for the better of the team. Delusional up in here.

His agent is the one who told him to hold out. You think if he didn't hold out his contract would have been as large this year? No, his agent did his job and a damn good one. CJ earned his money the seasons before signing and no one in TN is complaining.

He has been a non-issue at practice, in the locker room, or post losses. His teammates, current coaches, and past coaches (Fisher) all loved the shit out of him and his work ethic.

People get the impression just because he can barely speak English that he is a huge locker room problem and has attitude issues like all the similar, uneducated hood rats who speak like him. That simply is not the case and couldn't be further from the truth.

idunno Crabtree held out... he is a pos. Gore kept playing and showing up even though it wasn't settled and he wanted more money.. he's a god damn class act.

From an attitude stand point CJ left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths when he held out. Being ghetto is 1 thing look at Lynch dude is ghetto as fuck from East Oakland but the guy hasn't really been a problem since he took that golf cart out at CAL.. all the guy wants is fucking skittles

Neither of them rushed for 2000 yards and Gore's body is going to last a hell of a lot longer than CJs. He was absolutely right in doing what he did.

A Skittles based contract is something the Seahawks are ok with working around.
