My friends and I kinda stopped playing pokemon shortly after B/W came out because we couldn't use Battle Revolution to have awesome tourneys anymore and Nintendo has apparently decided our tourneys were lame and isn't going to do another coliseum type game.

I think they're doing an arena of sorts where you can fight gym leaders of old, which is why that's so 'holy shit'

I like how we have sparked a Gen I starter debate some 15 years after the fact.

Grass type is easy mode, defeats gyms 1 and 2 thoughtlessly. Then Water, which handles Brock but not Misty. In the original games Charmander didn't get Metal Claw since there was no Steel type, and no Mankey spawned on Route 22 out to the Pokemon League entrance until Yellow version, so taking out Brock's monsters was most difficult if you didn't just overpower your lizard or get a special attacker of some kind (Butterfree generally).

It would appear that all of the Kanto Gym leaders and every champion can be challenged. I would imagine since the sprites already exist that they would include the leaders from Johto and Sinnoh as well, and just showed the most popular faces in the magazine to draw fan attention.

First two gyms were Rock and Water. Elite four members loved their dragon types.

I was like 10 at the time, I don't think i cared enough about games "Easy Mode' or "Hard Mode" back then I played Pokemon cause it was F*ckin Pokemon!Q I chose Bulbasaur not because i wanted to stomp the first two gym leaders, but because he's the best Pokemon ever.
