In my middle school it was either Charmander or Squirtle. I've always chosen Bulba as my main. Of course the correct answer is Pikachu! (fuck yeah yellow version! >_>) Ah, those were the days... my backpack with my GBC and a game link cable owning bitches and hoes.

why does her glasses not have glass in them? and i'm hoping the pokeball storage chamber had oxygen inside (seemed air tight >.>; ) but i agree with Makwa anime needs to look like that!

Yeah I never picked my starter based on the first gyms. Charmander was my favorite starter when I got red version all those years ago. I've never really stuck to a type either, usually my decisions are based on what starter/subsequent evolutions appeal to me looks wise. Latest round I picked Tepig and named him Ganon for obvious evolutionary reasons.

Though Baconator was a top choice, too. I found myself naming my pokemon for the first time this round, too.. which kind of sucks because I don't know what half of them actually are now.

My choices were pretty similar; Charmander > Cyndaquil > Torchic/Treecko(a second playthrough) > Chimchar (whom I always called Chimcham) > Snivy (Smugleaf...the worst choice of all, he sucked, lol).

Albeit, I got bored and decided to play Heart Gold again (mainly when I do my laundry and am stuck at the laundromat) and I went with Totodile, this mainly because this time around, I actually plan on conquering Mt. Silver and getting the 1st and 3rd gen starters of Charmander and Treecko to make a dream-team'esk lineup that would probably get raped in any competitive play, but that I take pride in because I actually like the pokemon I'm using.
