Depends on how you bought it. It sounds like you pre-ordered it and you decided to pay for it completely before the 28th. If you did this, one would suspect that you already received your pre-order code and that you purchased a physical box. If this is the case, you already got a code that was good for your BWE+1day headstart (although a lot of people preordering from Gamestop have said they got the 3day code even though they should have gotten 1). At launch you will have to pickup the box and you have a few days (5 I think) to input it.
Now if you are saying you ordered a digital copy and you got no code or you never received a code at all, then you need to go back and get that shit.
I did preorder it a long time ago, but never even got any code. Went back in before BW3 and they told me I couldn't get any code because I didn't pay in full.
well... they are full of shit. If you preordered and didn't receive a headstart code (assuming you preordered after April 10th), then you need to go back and either 1) "return" your product and flat out prepurchase the game (I would suggest doing so digitally and guaranteeing your code and 3 day headstart) or 2) Demand your prepurchase code. The code should have been printed out on the receipt so as long as you have the receipt you should be able to do 1 of the 2 choices.
Unless you desperately want the physical copy I would highly suggest you buying digitally. Either through Arena.net themselves or from a site like greenmangaming.com which could be cheaper if they are still doing the 20% off summer coupon.
Did kinda want the box, I like boxes 8D. I emailed customer support as it's too late to go back to gamestop. We'll see if I get a reply tomorrow, if not I will probably go back in.
Yeah I can totally understand the want to have the box for your shelf. If they won't give you a new code, I would highly encourage you to just get a refund and immediately re-prepurchase. They should still give you a prepurchase 3 day head start code. After all the crap it sounds like you've been through, make sure the code specifically states it gives you the 3days and not the 1 day.
If it's a guild that does RvR, everybody on the server will always be associated as part of that guild. Whether you're part of it or not. Massive zergs make RvR boring as well.
I'll assume RvR stands for Region vs Region?
Original term for WvWvW from DAoC.
And it's Realm vs Realm.
Ahh okay. I never did much in WvWvW since when I tried I got stomped pretty hard.
Most fun you can have in a pvp setting imo, once you figure it out. Rolling with a group of coordinated people doesn't hurt either.
GW2 has done a good job with it.
I mostly agree, though I think their whole Siege Weapon and Supply metrics need to be much less stringent.
I like that it takes 2 people to slap down siege equipment considering how powerful they've made them all. I also like that you can starve out your enemies supply. Keeps it tactical, realistic, and fresh.
I'd be extremely surprised if we get another test. if it does happen it would have to be Sunday/Monday. With launch 6 days away, things have to be getting pretty tight and dropping another stress test later than that doesn't really give them enough time to fix anything that is "stressed".
Good point
Another question regarding system requirements. I'm not sure if ArenaNet said anything about the system requirements or not, but someone told me the system requirements for the game are fairly low and can run on older computers. If that's the case how well do you think my laptop could handle the game?
Video Card: Nvidia Quadro 1000M
Processor: Intel Core i5-2504M (Quad Core)
RAM: 4GB
You might have to turn some things down, but it should run fairly well. Skyrim is another recent game that was designed to push DirectX 9 to its limits.
By older computers, I assume ArenaNet meant really old computers. By "really old," I mean I'm expecting it to run at 1680x1050 on the Pentium 4 3.2GHz Northwood, 3GB DDR1-433MHz (2-2-2-7), Radeon X850 XT computer in the basement. That machine ran Fallout 3, Oblivion, Half-Life 2, etc. at around 30-50 FPS.
