You slap in more bags like WoW. The larger the bags, the large the inventory space. Also be aware you can instantly deposit any and all crafting materials directly to your bank whenever you please with a simple click of a button.
So an easy way to keep your inventory down is to have a bunch of salvage kits on you at all times and break stuff into component parts as you go.
by default ? or we need to buy that little robot
That's default. Convenience in an MMO, who'da thunk it?
Arguably the best part of the game lol
I assume headstart code works like most headstart codes, only gives you access to the headstart then need a CD key from the box? Long story short, bitched to gamestop about not getting a key and after no reply I cancelled my preorder then they sent me a key.
Your headstart code is your CD key. Same thing.
Has anyone had audio issues in the beta? Seems like the tabs on the audio settings doesn't seem to do a whole lot.
Last stress, my client audio started oscillating a single tones o I had to restart the client to get it to stop. I don't know exactly when it happened, as I had the news, from my cable box, for the audio while I had my computer set to the video signal, but when I switched to full computer video/audio I noticed it.
Quick question - bought the game a couple days ago to get the 3 day access before official launch and I've downloaded the client. However when I try to sign-in during a non stress-test time I get a firewall related error every time. What happens to others when they try to sign in? Only game I have this issue with. Just wondering if this is something I should be concerned about...
Can you login to the stress test itself? There is actually a thread on the official forums (when they are up) that has to do with firewall issues. Even if you can't participate in the stress test that starts in 2 minutes (1:20-2:20pm pst) I would highly suggest that you go and read the tech support forums for that firewall thread. If you can't it will be there when the game goes live in 34.5 hours.
Here's what it should say when you try to log in:
Guild Wars 2 has encountered an error
Either there is no current Guild Wars 2 event or this account is not authorized to participate in one. If you believe an event is running that you should have access to, please contact Customer Support. For additional support, please visit
http://support.guildwars2.com/
Thanks guys, yeah that's not the message I'm getting. Looks like I'll have to wait until the official forums come back online...
I'm getting the same message and not 2 days ago I was getting the standard "No event running right now" message (haven't touched any firewall or router settings), so it's probably nothing and just giving you the wrong message unless you weren't actually able to login to the stress test.
Was able to get the error message Rhyis got, just had to open a few ports on my router. Thanks again.
From the GW2 support site:
I just opened the 4 ports listed on my router and voila it worked..."The game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time. This is most commonly caused by firewall or router settings, security applications, or connecting through a campus network. For additional support, please visit http://support.guildwars2.com."
If you are running security software such as Norton, AVAST, AVG, or McAfee, please try temporarily disabling the software. If this does not work, you might also try adjusting the 'security' setting within the firewall settings. Lowering this setting to 'medium' or 'low' will often clear up connection issues.
In the event that adjusting the security settings does not resolve the issue, please try temporarily uninstalling the security software completely. If this does resolve the issue, please contact the software manufacturer for instructions on how to configure it correctly if you wish to reinstall it.
In addition, Guild Wars 2 requires TCP ports 80, 443, 6112 and port 6600 be fully unrestricted and accessible, both inbound and outbound. For further information about opening ports or port forwarding, you can visit the following website: http://www.portforward.com Please note, this site is not affiliated with or supported by NCsoft or ArenaNet.
If you are connecting to Guild Wars 2 while on a campus, military, or business network, please check with your network's administrator to verify that these ports are fully opened and unrestricted. If you are on a home Local Area Network (LAN), you will want to make sure that your network's hardware is properly configured.
Physical copy is just a code on a card inside a box. I know this because I have the "physical" copy.
When you pick up the actual physical copy you'll get the retail code with the disks/etc...
