1. How do I split items in my inventory?
2. Can I stack items together? Like if I bought 2 stacks of copper picks (1 stack = 100 picks) is there a way to make it just 1 stack of 200?

Can't make a stack of 200, only stacks to 100.

Technically, that's not a stack of 100... it's a pickaxe with 100 uses. Technicality that prevents stacking, sadly.

To split in an item in your inventory hold alt then click and drag the item you want to split to another spot in your inventory.

Think those are the event items (that you give to the event NPC) you may have picked up.

The gathering tools will be needed for higher level nodes. If you dont use a high enough lvl tool you get junk instead.

Well better salvage kits mean you get better materials afair, better picks etc. are needed for higher lv nodes or you'll get crap.

Rifle Mod : Increasing damage of Rifles and Harpoon gun by 10%.

Is that rifle only or do they consider pistols rifles as well?

There's no point in using higher level picks for lower level zones, save your money and buy the ones you would normally use in that zone since you get nothing special for using high levels picks in a level 1 zone.
