That's a good question. Do you have to be in the order to enter their instance area?

To clarify, you can get into any "stationary" instanced area regardless of affiliation/race/etc. You need to do so in order to 100% cities. That being said, you can enter the Vigil/Order areas but like Takiwaki said you will not be able to use their vendors. Only the general merchant at any of the three faction homes will actually sell anything to you. The others will tell you that you can sell to them, but they can only sell to members.
Goldsellers found WvW!
Spoiler: show
Crappy picture but whatevs. Most of em had stupid names, the ones that didn't were naked (stolen account + stripped gear). Also they fucking love Ranger.
Edit: Wrong tab, whatevs.
Why would goldsellers go to rvr for gold? Makes more sense to just bot a stationary pve event. They gonna get murdered by the zerg.
2 caravans spawn there and go down the same path. Walking with the 2 of em til they split gets you a gold contribution, which is 1.5 S for me (per caravan) at level 59. Requires basically no interaction and can run it on a ton of characters at once (a ton were moving in sync, so all controlled via one input I'd wager). Considering it's in our borderlands and we control all 3 maps entirely, they're perfectly safe, really. They probably just transfer to whatever server has 100% map control and spam it on their borderlands.
Edit: Lol, spammed swiftness on the caravans to speed them up, and all the goldsellers fell behind since they're just botting the movement. Swiftness doesn't effect your walk speed, so they don't go any faster but the caravans move ahead.
1.5 silver every 5 minutes, or however long it takes for those slow ass things to get to the keep, isn't exactly quality farming.
I love that there is a report button for botters etc.
You don't have to walk the entire way. You walk down a bit of path til they split and go 2 seperate directions, then back to where they spawn and repeat. There was one bugged DE you could just sit and spam for easy EXP before, but now there's not really anything better that doesn't involve some actual character input. Good luck doing them with 15 characters at once.
Yeah but the mules do have to walk the whole way, and you don't get any rewards until the mules get there.
Also there's still lots of places for botters. Brisban Widlands and Kessex Hills still have like 5 overflows on Maguuma because these wanks have been botting since damn near release.
What city has a crafting area close to a trading post?
I reported an obvious botter who was up on a ledge in a city which gets raided that was just spamming necro staff abilities to get XP during the raid events. A minute after I reported the botter stopped attacking, a minute after that the botter vanished from where it was standing. Amazing what happens when a company actually cares instead of the "we'll look into it" BS I was fed by SE for years.
Eagle Feathers for Cesseilia's heart in Bloodtide Coast? Ran over here for oranges on my 33 ele and all grumpy cause no one can figure it out
Edit: Just logged out and back in, remade one of the potions and it worked
I always though it was odd to have rewards on those escort 'quests' when nothing spawns to prevent them from making their trip.
Some stuff does but it's insignificant and can't even kill the dolyaks. Only thing that does stop them is other players or those scout posts (they spawn Veteran Guards for whoever owns it). But if you hire your own guards to escort the caravan it's completely safe from those too. It's a little silly, but supplies are pretty damn integral, once people get good at WvW it'll be important to defend them. I just helped get up a Waypoint at the Garrison we own on one map by escorting them for much needed supplies.
I started a necro alt, but how should I go about fights? Like DEs seem to be good uses of staff aoes and solo I feel like I really like scepter/focus (though I was tearing some stuff up with daggers while unlocking them, I imagine close range is a bad thing in the long run), am I doing it right? When is THE right time to use deathshroud? It kinda sucks you can't see the shroud abilities on the hero panel so you gotta be in it to see your options.
I haven't tried scepters in a while, but they felt like the weakest Necro weapon. Daggers do lots of damage and build up life force quickly, but have absolutely no range. Axes give a bit more range, and a small bit of burst damage with the #2 skill. And no matter what, I feel like staves are too good to not use on Necro. They have the longest range and provide a number of aoe buffs/debuffs. For a while I was running with Well of Suffering + Flesh Golem, and I would pull as many mobs as I could and they'd stick on the golem while marks and the well would melt them in a few seconds. The biggest problem with that build was the golem attacks whatever the golem wants. See that Champion mob over there that hasn't aggroed you? Flesh Golem will go pick a fight for you, he don't care.
And you can think of death shroud as almost a secondary HP pool. If you have signets or skills that build life force up, use it whenever you're going to take damage. Only life transfer does respectable damage, but has like a 40 second cooldown if not lowered via traits. So it's really more of a defensive stance, there's also some traits that give you a buff when you switch into death shroud, so you can use it for that too. It's possible it might make Necros a really solid tank if traited properly, but not really something I've messed with.
