How do "new build available" resets affect pop times for claw/shat/teq, if at all?
Edit: They don't, probable a longer server down changes them but claw popped right on time as if didn't dl new update

When using the Trading Post, about half the time it works fine, and the other half nothing loads (I can click on the tabs and the frame will pop up, but no items). Is there a trick for this, or has it just been perpetually broken?
only trick I know of is to restart it unfortunately
Starting to build spare karma i don't need, anyway of making money from karma?
Pretty sure there's nothing you can buy with karma that you can sell back or make at profit. Anet has seen to it.
quick question, dungeon sets have got bonus stats. Do they stack ?
for example: (1) power +10 (2)xxx (3) power + 50
will i gain 50 power or 60 ?
Simple way to test would be get naked and add the pieces one by one
They stack. And they're from runes slotted in the armour, not just dungeon specific stuff. You can add them to any armour you like.
Hey guys so I'm debating if I want to get GW2 or not. Just had some questions. For an old FFXI/XIV and WoW player how does GW2 compare? I know the holy trinity system doesn't really play out and I'm not sure if I like everyone beings dps. I tend to favor support and tank roles quite a lot. Also how is the endgame, if there is much. I enjoy pvp as much as the next guy but I am really big on PvE.
can't compare it to WoW cause I didn't play it, but to me it's like ffxi-lite. Easier travel thank god, easier crafting and exp (by far), easier to gear out your character with good shit once you hit level cap. Story sucks, and it doesn't have the "grip" on me that ffxi did, but you can sit down in 30 minutes and accomplish something worthwhile. Very little elitism among the playerbase, which is nice. It's fun to explore, fun to kill shit. A bit repetitive. No reliance on other people for anything, because groups naturally form themselves cooperatively in PvE... WvW needs some work but it can be fun and very exciting at times. Dungeons and some game activities have been perpetually bugged, which can cause some frustration if you get your heart set on doing something specific, but there's always an alternative activity. DEV support and development seems to be on the right track, new game content should be coming in for a few years at least.
Sound about right to you guys?
P.S.: I guess I should probably add that the game is visually stunning. Or something. My video card sucks.
hmmm its hard cause im debating between GW2 or Mists of pandas. But I may have to level a new character in WoW and i figured if i have to do that i should maybe just try a new mmo. Anyone got an opinion between the two?
I disagree with the story being crap. The Lore and Story itself are awesome, it's just the characters involved aren't that great, aside from Destiny's Edge but they're only involved in the dungeons and I've read the books so I have a little more attachment to them.
I'd disagree with this, but more in the sense it's maybe 5% or less false. You'll need other people for dungeons. You'll need other people for WvW. You'll be way better off using what other people put on the AH instead of farming to craft stuff (thanks to anti-bot code). Some SPs or even Vistas will be better done/reached with others around due to veterans/mob density/SP itself and your chosen class. Some events you'll unlikely be able to do on your own, either, especially if it involves a champ or better mob.No reliance on other people for anything...
From a perspective of comparing the game to console titles, getting to 80 will be far more time than most console games, so I'd say it's worth the money. A mix of bugs and what comes after you hit 80 would be my only concern for someone hoping for a game that'd distract them for more than a month or two if they play a lot (Like 5+ hours a day). But some might argue that the benefit of no monthly fee. I have other quibbles, but they're more about building on what's present or tweaking things a bit that probably wouldn't make much sense to newcomers unfamiliar with what's what.
If you have friends they can use scroll of Resurrection and you get a free 80 character or something in wow, tbh you can probably hit max level in either game in a week if you play enough. If you're stuck for something to play you're more likely to get more out of GW2, free to play means you can put it down for a while and come back without any sub fees when new content is released etc.
I just started. I didn't find any race all that appealing even though some of the females reminded me of Tera.
I started a guardian forest race guy. I don't really have a love for PvP, is guardian pegged as just tank or support? Or, can it be dps spec too?
Otherwise, what would be a good race/class for strictly PvE and maybe some world pvp?
Basically, I'm looking for something with the versatility of my pld or shm in wow, or, a strictly dps class that's a blast.
Guardian is good for everything. There's multiple ways to build and even in a damage oriented spec you'll be providing buffs for party members (with traits like crits providing aoe might and shout skills). Honestly I find every class fun though, Ranger is the only one I haven't enjoyed because your best damage is just hitting 1 and going afk.
Edit: I guess I should mention burst damage is one thing Guardian really struggles with, not an issue at all anywhere in PvE, but in PvP you may find it difficult to get kills if you are by yourself sometimes. On the other side of the coin you can live forever like a boss.
sweet, gonna stick with it for a while then. Still nekky in the starting area while I considered options XD
For legendary exotic component weapons, can you throw any combination of lvl 75 weapons in, and possibly get the Legendary exotic component weapons, or do they all have to be the same level and/or the same type? Is it always a random weapon, or would 4x greatswords be the only way to get the legendary exotic greatsword component?
EX1 - lvl 80 Greatsword, Sword, War horn, and Focus = Possible random legendary exotic weapon component?
EX2 - LVL 80 Greatsword x4 = Possible legendary greatsword exotic weapon component?
EX3 - LVL 75 Greatsword, LVL 80 Sword, LVL 78 Warhorn, LVL 79 Focus = Possible random legendary exotic component?
As in, killed 4 things, got a cs and logged out when it ended. I logged back in and already had my armor back.
I got the game free from an RMT site for 55k wow gold (very little imo) because I don't want a sub mmo anymore. I just haven't gotten into it yet. A new MMO requires learning and I haven't been in a mood to do that XD
