Yeah i used crafting recipe discoveries to get past that as well. After that just follow story around and if you fall behind run AC till you're caught up.

i've decided to abandon what little dignity i had and level warrior.
i don't know anything about this class other than don't use the 5 signet build at 80.
is this one any good?
I'm pretty sure you can skip utility skills altogether and be just fine on warrior.
The other warrior in our group runs an extremely similar build. Shout builds in general on a warrior are very powerful support. I would read this support build thread so you know exactly what they bring and how to maximize efficiency.
If you want to dish out decent damage and have shout heals then its a good way to go. Full Power Warrior builds are something of the past. The Might/Boon stacking/duration is what its all about at this point. Especially for Support Warriors. With a good set of runes you can have a perpetual 20+ stack of might, far outclassing a 30 point Power build.
If you do not care to Support as much, you can give the Axe/Mace build a try. Its a pure damage build but requires very good play to survive. It relies on good use of stamina and weaponswapping for keeping health high. He is a huge proponent of food usage, which I can not honestly say is worth it with current Omnomberry prices though.
Personally I am a shout warrior with axe/shield+bow. I have a might stacking setup and about 60% crit + fury. I vastly prefer Mainhand Axe versus GreatSword. I know GS is sexy with Hundred Blades, but Axe is more mobile and brings more utility.
Not really... Afterall condition removal/stun recovery is a requirement for every profession.
Nope. Hundred Blades and Shake it off trait, just beat the game
Sometimes braindead game play is just what the doctor ordered.
Although there is a real difference in getting away with playing "braindead" warrior and really playing well.
I could argue that you can honestly play braindead in every class and be okay in GW2. As long as you know how to hit F and res people and you understand you have the ability to dodge and (even more so) run back from the waypoint, anyone can be that autoattacking huntard from 2007 WoW.
The events xp and karma scale up, but not completely. At 80 in a 1-15 zone you are looking at getting ~250 karma and ~1s in a level 80 event you are looking at 350+ and 1.8s (depending on the event of course). Discovery XP also scales. What does not scale? Heart Completion, XP per kill, Gathering XP and I believe Vista XP.
You can't play braindead mesmer, you would do negative damage(yes, you'd heal the mob by attacking it).
I can really only speak from the experience of playing engineer and mesmer a lot, and while I'll agree that you can get by on engineer without really thinking, not a chance with mesmer.
I'd love to see screenshots of you actually healing an average mob... lol
So you have never ever gone to an event and proceded to spawn 3 phantasms and autoattacked afk? LOL... you can play mesmer brainded. Just like you can do so on any other profession. Is it a little more necessary to weapon swap or dodgeroll? yes, but i still do not count brainlessly hitting my dodgeroll button or my sword 2 button as anything but being braindead. Yes Mesmer has the opportunity to really maximize damage by skilled play. It has a much higher ceiling than some other classes, but every class in the game can be done fairly effectively by a 3 year monkey.
Spoiler: show
gonna make a viking warrior chick, will i regret this y/n and explain
ty
Yes, human female master race. ;D
I like my norn female. Can't go wrong
Needs more man.
Norn women look more realistic than humans for some odd reason.
I think it may be the whole not looking anorexic thing.
I think half the cloth sets look stupid on norn, they're cool in heavy stuff though.
