Yes I believe there will be those 25 zones on release, just like gw1 there were parts of the map inaccessible, until an expansion or major patch. Fact there are still small parts of the map in gw1 that are inaccessible lol.
Also there is the possibility of entire continents being added, Cantha and Elona from GW1, are no longer accessible because of the dragons
Full game at initial release. I don't think they are going to open the entire game to us in beta weekend events. Right now in beta you cannot access those higher level areas. There are gates in places like getting to that 50-60 charr zone.
Other regions will be coming in later expansions that don't have zone maps there. I know the first expansion is gonna be the desert area in the SE corner of the map. If you look on the charr 30-40 zone there you can see a road leading down to that area for when they add it.
Where are Charr and Norn supposed to go 25-30?
There seems to only be one 25-30 zone on that map... Not that it matters, cause you can just go to other races lower level areas and level up there.
And really, because of how skill points are distributed, I don't think running through zones like WoW will be as effective. Best to do all five 1-15 zones, then all the 15-25 zones, etc. Best way to acquire skill points and level up imo. Speed leveling doesn't really do anything for you on the PvE side because of level caps, and PvP wise you get pumped up to 80 automatically anyway. Only thing you're doing is going into zones tuned to be harder with less skills.
Having to go out and get your skill points, opposed to just being given them on level up, changes the whole dynamic.
Somebody pointed out that that zone is right above Lion's Arch. There is probably a story reason to try and force all the races to converge on that area.
That fucking zone...
Dreamflowers for everyone!

EF: High level characters who are playing in low level areas still receive rewards appropriate to their “real” level. The rate at which they gain these rewards is lower in the lower level area than if they’d been playing in an area that was equal to their own level. This reward system works on a sliding scale so that extreme level differences are much less efficient than slight level differences. For example, a level 80 player going to a level 10 area would earn rewards less efficiently than a level 40 player going to that same area. We are always tweaking this number but we generally want to find a sweet spot where players feel rewarded without it being open to exploit.
sounds good
yeah I noticed this during the BWE. Went to a level 4 DE at level 18 or so and was getting drops for levels 12 or 15. Thought it was very cool.
Its the little things! I remember doing the bear part of the event but good god, no idea how much the story plays into every single aspect of it!
When people flame me about being excited, I need to say its not what is in the game because yes technically its the same shit from other games, its how those things are done that makes it different.
Sometimes its hard to explain that just using technical descriptions, so when I keep saying that its something you need to experience for yourself, don't think I am just being a fan boy, its because its true.
Team Paradigm has some pretty good PvP footage/guides on their youtube channel.
