I've never done coke but I've met Tina and if she's any indication, stimulants in general are not a good category for legalization. I do agree that decriminalization and treatment need to be looked at very seriously as long-term alternatives to our current war on drugs that will be more profitable both financially and for society as a whole. now, the people who are profiting off of the drug war won't make as much money... but fuck them, they're the reason we're in this shithole as it stands.

but yeah, there's a whole different world between caffeine and hardcore stimulants. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't experienced it myself... that shit changes you.

I live in a rural area in Oregon that has a strong market in both weed and meth. Can't count the amount of times I hear about tweakers stealing everything that isn't nailed down for a 20 bag and I have yet to see a pot head stealing a car or going ass to mouth for some bud.

Five day bender of smoking means your entire fridge and pantry is gone and piles of dvds lying around the tv. Five days of meth means no sleeping or eating and checking your windows every 30 seconds for that black dog and every appliance is taken apart.

Six months of heavy toking and you might smell bad but you can function perfectly fine. Six months of (just one more) 8balls and you've lost 50 lbs, face is pox-marked, and shaking so much you piss four directions at once.

Can confirm. Source: I grew up in rural Oregon and got the fuck out to avoid meth and dead end life full of poverty and guns.

Yep, mostly Sativa blends. They aren't as potent as the rush you get from a line of cocaine, though some blends can hit you just as fast.

I agree with you however, there's very little difference between coke and caffeine as well, similar highs. Difference is in the fact that coke can be highly addictive again because of how the body builds up tolerance and the way it makes you feel when you crash. Superman status when you're on it, makes you feel like you can move mountains and get shit done, then you crash and everything goes to hell. You then take more to try and achieve that high again, again and again. There's also the fact that it's more toxic to the body than MJ.

wonder how long it will be before a national politician comes out in favor of legalization, all the national opinion polls indicate majority support, especially salient in some key battleground states such as Ohio and Florida. 2016 year of the blazed Hilldog?

Hilldog will run opposed to it (it won't be a major campaign issue) and her position will "evolve" during her first term. Book it.

God, I hope Obama does some crazy shit on the national level on his way out. Lord knows New York is moving slow as fuck on their weed legislation. Doesn't even feel like weed is legal here, you have to have some sort of life threatening illness to be eligible.

It's pretty much how it is all the way around. Deval Patrick was governor when the MA medical bill got passed and he totally dragged ass on implementing it because he was personally opposed to it.

Legislation just passed in Georgia for medical as well. While it's bullshit and no different from NY's legislation (life threatening illness only, cannabis oil only), I keep thinking to myself "baby steps, baby steps." With all due hope 2016 elections will be big on weed legislation on a national level.

Weed 3 & High Profits coming on this Sunday on CNN at 9 PM (EST) -- definitely going to be an interesting Sunday evening. Thank god Sanjay Gupta did his research and ultimately changed his mind on marijuana. He almost literally became one of the new faces of the movement overnight.

As much as I'm pro-legalization and all that, if weed should NOT be anywhere near the front of the line as far as issues go.

Crack down on what, Christie? Fuck outta here with that Reagan-era bullshit, we are in 2015 now

Remember this? Remember when everyone figured out that the "leading medical researchers" were wrong? Remember when everyone found out that there were no permanent ill effects? Or when they found out it instead had beneficial effects on the body? They are still wrong if they call it a gateway drug as well (as Christie is trying to paint). Addiction and substance abuse begins with the person, not the drug.

Fuck outta here with that shit, Christie.

I just don't understand his point of view on this. How is this helping him? The majority is for legalization, almost 75% of the younger generation is for it..... on the nation level this is retarded. I just don't get where this is coming from, and why. Out of both partys, the R should be for this the most..... you know... freedom and shit....

He's probably seen poll numbers and has an understanding that the people that would vote for him don't care about or don't like marijuana legalization. Considering how the ball is moving around the country on it, there is no reason for him to say this unless it was a publicity stunt to try and get some numbers going his way.
