Eh, I disagree, but I don't think it's intrinsically a gateway so much as socially. Both in the way Ragnus said, and in the sense that a lot of people (used to) feel like "welp, I already did this illegal thing and enjoyed it, might as well try the other similar ones too."

I've never done it for the simple reason that it's illegal, and I plan to try it this January once it is legal here.

Been a pot smoker since I was 16, turning 26 in january. Just to piggyback on previous posts I rarely ever drink and I don't do any other drugs besides a shroom trip once a year with my friends every summer. Never had the urge to do other drugs.

Now for why I'm really here. Graduating school in 1 month and I'm quitting cold turkey while I apply to jobs since some places I'm applying to will most likely test me. My only real issue with quiting is that my stomach is absolute garbage (IBS) and I get alot of stomach pain especially in the mornings which smoking a bowl or 2 always helps. I've quit once before and the stomach pain is also associated with a lack of appetite. Anyone have any tips on combating either the stomach pain or lack of appetite?

Edit: do drug tests look for CBDs and would CBDs help me?

Man, I don't smoke weed,drink, touch cigs but do coke on the frequent. My gateway drug was in the form of AG kickin open my door and askin if I wanted a line. Weed being a gateway drug is nonsense, it's only a gateway in the sense it's the easiest to acquire and a person who will try 1 drug will most likely try more than someone who tries 0.

No and maybe. CBD may help with pain and inflammation, but it's unlikely to stimulate appetite like THC. It won't hurt to try if it's all you've got to work with while waiting to pass a urinalysis.

Tylenol? otherwise not much, man. abdominal pain is the worst. super hard to nail it down with painkillers... which is why weed has such a following among IBD patients.

MA's Governor Baker came just short of saying that he'd sign a measure to delay the implementation of the recreational bill, passed in November, by six months. This measure was passed by "a handful" of local legislature officials in an informal session which had no debate.

Personally, I think this is less of a wording check, and more of a delay to see if Trump's new AG is going to start a nation wide crackdown on recreational laws.

The White Earth Band of Ojibwe in MN have been allowed to grow Hemp for Research & Industrial purposes, will use the Hemp to create Hempcrete & Fiber Board

Hempcrete is concrete made with chopped-up hemp fibers. It's lighter and stronger than traditional concrete. Fiber board combines wood chips and hemp in a plywood-like panel.

The challenges of processing hemp have tribal officials cautious about the payoff from hemp, but they envision making construction materials and creating much needed jobs.

"If you can integrate the hemp industry along with the building industry, mankind is always building," said Douglas Lee, a student at the White Earth tribal college who's helping create a hemp industry economic development plan. "That's one thing that's never going to run out is building material."

hempcrete is cool beans. i remember seeing a video of this construction method where they use hempcrete almost like fiberglass, where they spray it onto an inflatable mold and then after it dries remove the mold leaving some interesting shapes that would be difficult to do with normal framing techniques.
