Got a key as well.
edit: Guess it only runs until Sunday morning... I have to work tonight.
Anyone want the key? I'll be happy to PM it.

I got a key, glad I checked here because I wouldn't have thought to check my email today otherwise :D
An origin account.
An in not shocking in the least news, all keys have apparently gone out and people with preorders never got. gg ea
According to reddit if you preordered on Origin you can contact EA customer service(boy that sounds fun) and they will give you your key. Or you can preorder through Amazon as mentioned above, get your key, and cancel. God EA is such a terrible fucking company. I hate supporting them in this but I just can't help myself.
I got a key but can't play today or tomorrow due to work load - PM if you want it.
EDIT: Taken.
I played my first hour-long city, but apparently I cannot make another. Oh well, lol.
I've have a key and I dont feel like installing the game and origin to play 1 hour at a time. PM me if you want it
edit, key is gone
My key still available.
Try changing servers if you're unable to make a new city, worked for me since I was having the same issue.
If anyone else has a key and doesn't want it, I would gladly take it off your hands.
Got a huge smile on my face when I realized how close you can zoom in. So freaking great to have another Sim City game, its been years and feels like two generations ago. Going to spend hundreds of hours on this when it comes out and surely for years to come after its release.
Itll be a ton of fun to take my time and craft a city instead of the speedrun like approch i feel i had to take to the beta
Exactly how I felt after the beta ended. There just wasn't enough time to set up two cities to get the region play dynamic working, but that's something I'm really looking forward to.
I really hope that they re-introduce the lot sizes like they displayed in the Gameplay Strategy Video 1 (example shown at around 1:40, basically go into the zoning tool and lot outline show up off roads). I had a hard time getting used to how far apart to lay down my roads, and it was frustrating putting together parks mid-block that would take up a proper proportion of the block. I saw the mini-marked that pops up as you use the zoning tool, but without gridlines, it was hard to gauge how far apart I should be building my blocks. Given that the road network is the fundamental basis for the cities, some more information on how wide blocks should be would be a real benefit as the grid overlay isn't always accurate.
I'm still not impressed with their zoning changes either. I agree, they need to go back to the old lot system like you mentioned Elesirdur. Despite that though, the game is still a lot of fun, just needs a few more tweaks. Can't wait to spend time messing around on something that will live longer than an hour and especially can't wait for multiplayer.
Yeah, hopefully the full game includes some kind of automatic system to 'fill' in the empty grass between lots as density and value rise. It just seems a little goofy to me that one's downtown core would happen to have strips of bare grass or dirt between skyscrapers if you can't quite fit a 1x3 or 2x3 plaza in.
If you have the road building tool active & hover over a road, the dashed lines should appear. I believe the width of those lines is wide enough for 2 small buildings to form.
Also a few things I've noticed from the beta:
1) Cars will only turn left at an intersection. Meaning if their target destination is on the left side of the road, they'll drive to the nearest intersection and do a U-turn , so they can turn right into the location. I don't think the game has turn lanes of any kind, so its probably a mechanic to make traffic rules simpler. In theory if you had 1 road that snaked around your entire city, they would drive miles through the town instead of turning left.
2) If you're going to have a city of even moderate density, be sure to use roads that have street lights at intersections. A 4-way stop-sign intersection is a nightmare for traffic.
