Lets just round up all the things that could be considered neglect. Marrying outside of your race, that can call all sorts of problems. Having a child but not getting married endangers the child. Raising a child on your own, as a single parent creates a field of child abuse swirling around and readying itself to take your child.

Any group of people who have to have a child had better be white, and married, and they had better pop out a kid.

After reading the bill it just looks like they want to be able to fund propaganda pamphlets that demonize single parenthood as a neglectful environment for children, not criminalize the fact of being a single parent.

Still scuzzy, ignorant policy making but nothing quite as bad as the article or thread title suggest.

Basically yeah.

When we say "single parent" in this context, are we referring to "unmarried" or "not in a relationship with the father but he's still bearing child-rearing responsibilities" or "only one parent in the picture"?
