At this point they shouldn't have bothered with a full-on letter. All this did is solidify that the March 6th to 9th figure was in fact 9th. This ranks up their with the New Year's drunk/out of it-looking Yoshi letter that had nothing to do with the game proper.

At this rate, 1.21 needs to cure cancer to impress.

Yeah I hope that the quest give a good story about the jobs. 14 Has been lacking in the story department, and this makes me sad.

In-character lodestone blurbs being what they are, this could be meaningless, but today's "Alvak's Spyglass" newspaper article makes me wonder if some of it will just cost money and/or materials similar to how you obtained some of the FFXI-ToAU jobs' artifact armor. For those that aren't familiar with it, you brought some materials and money to a tailor in Port Sandy, came back a day later, and he made them for you.

Of particular popularity are such curios as realistic replicas of relics along with ancient artifacts dating back to the Allagan Empire, both of which command premium prices on the market.

If he's trolling, he needs to pick a bigger audience to troll. Why troll the few thousand people that are actually paying for the game? You'd figure he'd actually make a decent game so that hundreds of thousands (or millions) would play, then troll them.

Hell, making people pay for the current product is a troll attempt in of itself.

Contrary to what you think, I don't think you're upsetting anyone. I doubt I am alone when I say that I am just bored of the same mindless rubbish that you post, and well, I suppose I feel a bit sorry for you that you need to do so in order to get some attention. But hey, carry on!

Some people just like watching train wrecks, some people will always believe that XIV or a modern SE ran MMO is a train wreck thats riddled with bad decisions. I personally hold final judgement until I see either a tangible 2.0 video that sells itself really well on the fact the games initial engine flaws have been corrected or actually try it.

Why do you think shows like Jersey shore are popular? people could careless about the cast, they just want to see how ridiculous something can go or how big can the train wreck become. It is still the laughing stock of the MMO world, just go read the post someone made on MMO champion recently when they released the job videos, no one is still taking the game seriously despite all the good yoshida's team has done so far.

The potential will always be there for XIV to be an epic game, it will just be a few design choices here and there going forward that will determine if the game will ever reach that potential.
