You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

I think the idea is that if the rabbis do all the sanitation you listed above, then HOW BAD IS IT. Which is what statistics would prove. The doctor comments are irrelevant as I don't think anyone is debating that this is the best way. Obviously there are better ways so you wouldn't see any doctor doing it. Hell, there are some ways doctors do that aren't the best because of regulations (see: child birth is often done with the woman laying down because of regulations doctors need to go through and safety, when reality women are supposed to be upright). Again, not saying the mouth is better, just an example. That doesn't prove HOW bad it is, which is really what we are asking. Getting upset over wanting some data is rather silly imo.

Admittedly I tried to look up how many people have oral herpes and the first website I looked up estimated anywhere between 50 and 80%, I immediately hit ctrl + w and would have backed out of the room slowly if possible.

You don't sterilize an open wound before a procedure only to put more disgusting bacteria into the wound. You know that, right? You dont apply peroxide to a wound just so you can drop some AIDs scalpels up in that bitch, that's not how it works.

Pre-procedural disinfection is intended to MINIMIZE the threat of infection.

Why would one KNOWINGLY INTRODUCE an infection source ON PURPOSE and then try to UNDO it with some peroxide? Good lord. JUST DON'T INTRODUCE THE SOURCE IN THE GODDAMN FIRST PLACE.

    Where the fuck is TYCHE

    YOU ARE DUMB.

    Here are the statistics:

saliva is a possible infection source because it has TONS OF BACTERIA IN IT.

The infection risk is LOWER when you DON'T INTRODUCE INFECTION SOURCES. DERP.

Next you're going to want statistics on how many murders are never discovered.

I don't think there is any way to really collect data on that.

Tons of people have Herpes type 1. Most people won't admit it because it makes people think of Herpes type 2.

If you use neosporin as lube, you lower the chance of STD transmission by 99.8%

    Lysol makes it 99.99%...

Yes, but being a killer isn't necessarily a bad thing. Murder is always wrong, killing is not.
yeah but you're talking intent. if he IS delusional, that doesn't exactly change anything as far as intent is concerned.

I agree that we would have to find skewed data because I don't know how many rabbis take extreme santiation precautions. However, this isn't a new practice and has been going on for a long time. So I can't imagine it would be too hard to see how often cases of those without known diseases (ie don't include the herpes rabbis) and do take precaution still end up spreading infections.

I agree this wouldn't be a perfect statistic, but still one nonetheless.

Not introducing an infection source in the first place is INFINITELY BETTER than introducing it and then trying to "take it back" or "clean it up afterwards." How is this NOT obvious?

Why are we ignoring the 100% statistic that he had herpes and that's fatal to a child? <_<
