For us maybe, but the box office will probably be better. Maybe I'll just wait for the unrated DVD version.

Decent, slightly above my expectations (though it's not set high at all), to me it's worth the ticket price, but probably won't see it a second time or buy the bluray

Yeah. This kind of movie needed to be done with the same ratings-thinking as Judge Dredd (the 2012 one), not the "Let's avoid an R rating". Having to do scenes with one hand tied behind your back isn't good for this franchise- RoboCop 2 was a step down, and 3 was crap.

The first airing for this in the theater near me was at 2pm. I went to see it. There were maybe a total of 10 others that went to see it as well.
It wasn't really that bad, especially if you don't go in comparing every little detail to the first Robocop. They're completely different movies.
However the changes they did make were kind of odd and would have been better if they left it be, which was him getting the black suit and them changing the symbol of OCP even though it still was called OCP.
Though I paid $5.50 for the ticket and I still don't regret it, I'm not sure why this version of the movie exists when it should have been an ultraviolent extravaganza and it was pretty much just a waste of a license.

If you're looking to just kill some time and be entertained for 2 hours, I think this isn't all that bad of a choice.

Having only seen Robocop once, and neither of the sequels, I liked this. I didn't go into it expecting the world. For five bucks (matinee price) I can't knock it. Even for ten bucks I think you could do a lot worse. Cool action sequences and Robocop himself looked pretty sweet.

Now that I've slept on it, I'd say this definitely wasn't a problem. Sure the majority of people who like the original Robocop are going to say it's a problem, but you know what? The original Robocop is still a great fucking movie so if you want more original Robocop, just watch the first one again.

There's more action than there was in the first, way more people die, the only thing that's missing is a bunch of F words and gallons of blood- which even if it was rated R and they decided to use a lot of blood, it all would have been CG anyways since no one uses squibs anymore, and that shit looks awful.

The movie wasn't made to be R and then dumbed down like an airing of it on cable, so don't go in expecting an edited version of the first film and you may actually find it to be enjoyable. I went in only wanting one thing from the original movie and that was I wanted the phrase 'I'd buy that for a dollar' to be somewhere in there, and I was not disappointed.

All of that being said, I'll wait until the bluray goes on a steep sale before purchasing it, though I definitely thought the $6 ticket cost was worth the time.

Saw this the other night. I went in expecting it to be terrible but hoping for a pleasant surprise(like Dredd). What I got was a decent sci-fi action movie.

I'd put it at 6/10, decent way to spend two hours if you don't mind putting down the cash. I would most certainly buy it for a dollar.

Only thing that I was disappointed with was, there was no gun twirling. Overall it was enjoyable. Though the one human hand still irks me seems......so out of place and a big vulnerable point. Though I guess it was there to seem more human and able to shake hands /shrug.

yeah, I thought the one human hand was kind of stupid but I can see how it made sense to the people dude building Robocop, specifically Oldman's character. Because the human hand would give him something he could touch with his own 'human' hand and connect easier with the world.

Gun twirling didn't bother me. Only reason it was in the original was because it was an easy way for Murphy's partner to realize Robocop was Murphy.
